Huntress Search

Wonderful experience! I can't recommend it highly enough…read more Jenny Buck gave me interview tips to ace my interview, supported me during the onboarding process, and never ceased to check on me throughout my contract period. Huntress will be a great help for job seekers. And I so strongly recommend them for anyone who wants to change their career.

Yes you have to go through the standardly annoying tests and questions but the enthusiasm of the lady that saw me seemed completely genuine. Most importantly they had got in a job interview in a matter of days. I got phoned before the interview to wish me luck and after to see how it went. I subsequently got the job and even got a congratulations on your new role card in the post. I would recommend this agency to anybody, even those that like me don't generally like them.
Hays It

By the very nature of being a contractor, I hate recruitment agencies. I am going to try to keep my…read morereview as un-bias as possible and judge Hays on their conduct rather than their premise! I contacted Hays at the beginning of the year regarding a post I wanted to apply for. The response time was quick, so quick in fact that my interview was arranged the next day (obviously it helped that the client didn't hold things up). The interview went well and I was offered the job. Hays act as an employer as well as an agency so my payment is dealt with through them rather than the client. Payment is made weekly, which is always useful, and timesheets are submitted via an online system which is much more convenient than a traditional paper based one. The service I received from Hays was good - friendly and professional and they were able to answer my questions. This was one of the better experiences I have had with recruitment agencies!
Catch 22
In general recruitment agencies tend to annoy me more than being out of work. Having to do tests,…read moreany kind no matter how simple, puts me in into that state of panic normally reserved for exams. I am also not a big fan of having to go through my work history and basic skills. At least here the people seem to be really nice. The office is very unassuming from the outside but inside its warm and friendly, not decked out to look like a space age office. I didn't end up getting a job through them, purely because I found something else before hand. I tend to go to all the agencies I can in a couple of days and it just so happened that they got there first. When I am next in need of a job I will be sure to give them a visit.

One of my first experiences of job-hunting in Leeds was here, and I can say, it was not great. I…read morerealise this was a while ago now, but it really put me off recruitment agencies. When I walked in I was told that I'd do a type test, since their recruitment was based solely around administration work. Then I would fill out the forms with all the usual, job history and so on. I did reasonably on my type test, although certainly not to the dizzy heights of 220 wpm (words per minute). Thinking that this would be a great starting point for gaining employment experience I sat and waited for the lady to come back to me, only to be told when she did that I didn't have the kind of experience they were looking for. At the time I was a little too timid to mention that, since I had only just graduated, I had come to them to *gain* that experience and wasn't that the whole point of a recruitment agency - for them to find me work and therefore gain experience via employment? I don't know, maybe at the time my application seemed poor, despite having gained a 3rd level qualification, you know - I like to think that my degree surely counts for something. It just seemed like one of those never ending conundrums, a chicken egg nightmare of "I need experience to get employed, but, I can't get experience without being given a job..." and so on ad ifinitum. Perhaps they have changed since, which is why I've give 3 stars and not 2, but for me it was a total non-starter.

Thank you Matt and all the team at Pertemps for making this job search experience so stress free and wonderful.
