They Supervisor has a tendency without hearing problems tells people instead to walk out the store and never come back. Most insulting nature and do not care customer values. I purchased a "cooling fan" online from Best Buy ... it was defective. I attempted to return it in July 2021 to Best Buy, Langley Twsp, BC. Customer Service refused to accept it as it was a "Market Place" item. They did say they would contact the vendor in my stead ... they did not provide me with the Vendor's name or contact information. Oh, they apparently failed to contact the vendor. I complained in a letter to their head office in Burnaby, BC. After more than a one month they replied via email ... they apparently did not actually "read" my correspondence and sent me a "website" link instead. This led me to a website full of "gobbledygook" ... I don't know how anyone was expected to understand its directions. So I've got the Vancouver Better Business Bureau involved. It's hard to rate a store like this, I get it. It's a week after Christmas and the return line up is nearing the door. I was actually there to purchase, so no worries. My visit was a 50/50 push. I took the empty box up to the register. The clerk couldn't find the item in the lock up. He asked me to step to the side so that d be able to serve the 12 other people lined up behind me. I asked him to see if the person bringing the item up could possibly bring me the required battery. He directed me to the back of the store. Someone else came to the front and found the item in the lockup behind the counter. I asked him for the battery and he too, tried to send me to the back of the store. Once the original clerk had the first item in hand, he actually jogged to the back of the store and got me the battery. Good luck with that Amazon :) read more

The freezer door handle came off on the Samsung refrigerator refrigerator I purchased at Best Buy in 2019. I had paid for the extended warranty. When I called the warranty phone number (Geek Squad) I was informed that this is considered cosmetic and is not covered under their extended warranty. Unbelievable. This location at least is aweful. I regret coming to it and buying my new 75"tv. Several times I walked in there and bought expensive electronics and was treated like crap. I had a broken leg and had to hop back and forth from the back to the front and to the back again because no one wanted to actually help me so they kept sending me to someone else. All I wanted was a printer and no one wanted to go get it from the back. I finally got mad and they finally helped me. Another time I walked in trying to get help for a windows OS disk and the staff was just rude. No greeting, never said one word to me and just punched my disk in and the only words I heard out of his mouth was the cost. I paid, he bagged my disk and then just turned around to talk to the other guy in the geek squad room. I stood there not even k owing he was done with me for a second. The next time, I bought a 75 inch tv and the sales guy was super helpful but I had to wait 3 weeks for delivery and today I changed my mind and figured I'll pick it up. So I called and I was switched to 3 different departments and then put on hold for about 20 minutes with no music playing . I assumed I got hung up on and had to call back only to go trough the same 3 step phone tag and wait forever. At this moment I have still not even asked if I can pick it up today and have them come out and install it in the wall as scheduled. This is the last time I shop either here or at Best Buy at all. In the last three years, I have bought 3 TV's from Best Buy Langley. The first was a 32" one for the spare room and I picked a decent brand name, after slightly more than ONE year it quit working and Warranty was OUT and so Best Buy would do nothing so it went in the trash. The next one was a 42" and it too quit after ONE year...got nothing out of Best Buy for that one also...Trash. Then I bought a 55" UHD brand name...LESS THAN ONE YEAR AGO...Today I am packing it up to take it back because it has developed a black line in mid-screen. Bought a laptop online from them as it was not in the stores near me. I still haven't received it 2600 and all people say is check the status. The status says it was to be delivered on the 29 still says the same. When you text or call they make you give all your details wasting hours of your time and you still get no where. Langley store is better then most imho. People working here actually try their best to help. I am pretty impressed with the young people working here. Customer Service and Order Pickup desks are a pleasure to deal with. Their corporate return policies are questionable but that's nothing to do with people working on the floor. . I sincerely recommend that you reserve items online and just pick them up at the pickup desk, bypassing cash register lines. read more

Went in today to purchase some headphones and the customer service was some of the worst I've ever had. I went to the service counter to ask for some help directly and they just sent me to the department. No one cared and staff where on their cell phones. The problems with the Best Buy Langley computer department is the manager, Raj. I went back within two weeks of purchasing my laptop as I was very dissatisfied with it. Raj assured me that my laptop was an excellent one and convinced me to keep it. Of course, he would: after all it was one of the most expensive ones. It has been 1 1/2 years now, and I cannot count the number of times that I have had to go back to Best Buy to fix the endless problems with the laptop. Avoid this robbery company. read more

Best buy used to be fantastic when Future Shop was around, but I think when it closed all the smug arrogant salespeople that had no knowledge and only said whatever they could to make the sale transferred over. When you do get some one's attention and try to ask if this 4k TV is HDCP compliant they have no clue what that even means, and the entire time they were talking to me, they looked like they really had better places to be since they couldn't get a commission they were extremely bored and ran off before I had even gotten to ask about bundles or anything! CATASTROPHIC MOTHERBOARD FAILURE My PC baby was sick.. and unresponsive... we bundled our little steel pile of diodes into the car and RACED to see the geeks at Best Buy. Hipster Geek Ryan declared the patient on life support with no hope of normal functionality. We visited with another nice young man who showed us the best PC for our needs... and and hour later the lifeless shell of the old PC was in a parts bin... and my new shiny HP was loaded full of all my important stuff... my 85Gig of photos, email contacts... even my bookmarked websites. I went back to the store to return the product I purchased last night because it really bothered me the way I was treated. I wanted to buy it from a different location that took the time with me. When I went to return the product I was introduced to the manager of the store. He was wonderful. He listened to me explain why I wanted to return the product and was genuinely appalled at what he heard. He was amazing and went beyond what I could have imagined to satisfy me with the store. It was nice that he cared and I feel he will try and fix the problem. I would strongly recommend requesting for the manager if you are not being treated as you expect. This location may not be direct to blame, but be weary of home delivery. Our fridge is broken, we order a new one to be delivered on a day we would be home to receive it. They gave us a 3 hour window(11am to 2pm) after they never showed up, I call to get answers. The delivery driver "called me" to confirm delivery. In reality he called the wrong number and the person on the line said they were not expecting a delivery. So the driver cancelled. He did not confirm my name or address with this person, if he had, he would have realized he had dialed the wrong number. Now we have no fridge or fresh food, and have to wait an additional 3 days. I have never bought a large item online before,and after this, I probably won't ever again. 1/10 would NOT recommend. read more

Went to this location on Canada Day for a reserved item pickup. The item was a laser printer. I asked for a cart to get it to my vehicle but none were available. I asked for help and the store clerk asked for it over the PA. 20 minutes passed and nobody showed up. The store clerk was of no help, either, he disappeared into the back. So, I lugged this heavt item by myself back to my car in the pouring rain. Yeah, I'm 61 years old with an arthritic back an d a cardiac condition. Awful experience buying a gaming laptop from Best Buy The salesman told us the retail price was $1699, which led us to buy the full product warranty - we were told if anything happened to ours within 4 years we would receive an equal or better model. Not even 24 hours later - the laptop failed - we went back in to find out from the manager that the salesman had made a 'mistake' and the retail was $1499 - therefore, we could only replace with a lower different model - HP versus Asus. I'm like anything??? He's like any damage to your phone the warranty will cover. I was like great. Sign up for two years. So now my phones messing up me I go in after a year. I need a new phone. This other guy tells me sorry we can't your screen is not cover. I got upset thinking why would these sales rep lie and say everything covered.
