First of all, I just want to say how awesome it was to work with Michael Diaz. He was warm,…read morefriendly and showed up on time to give me a very fair estimate. I decided to move forward to have my kitchen, bedroom and office hallways installed with plantation shutters. The work is absolutely wonderful and the shutters really have improved the look of my home. Having said that, there are two major negatives which led me to give four stars and not five. The first, albeit somewhat minor but annoying, is that they didn't clean up the area of their work leading to me finding screws and other items (from pulling down the old shutters). The second and more major one is that in the bedroom, they clearly made a mistake from the time they came to measure to the actual installation. As you can see from photos, the bed is in the way so the left shutter should be the one to come out first. When Mike came, he accurately mentioned this but the actual shutter was that the right one is the one that comes out first (and which is problematic because the bed is in the way) and the left cannot come out because the right one is held back by the bed post. I think they realized it during install but just didn't bother. Having said that I would actually use them again but would definitely keep an eye on them to make sure the order came out right.

I was just thinking about how…read moremuch I love our blinds--the look, the ease of use, the reliability--and that I really owed David a glowing review. When we were first researching blinds, we got quotes from several vendors. Before we went with SoCal, we asked David to come back to our home and review our options. He returned to our home, a second time and very patiently explained options and pricing, and made very helpful and astute recommendations. We found the price to be very fair, and only a fraction of what the super-luxury shade store wanted to charge for their equivalent product. When our blinds were ready, David returned again and installed them expertly. I can't say enough about David's patience, expertise, and great customer service. We love our blinds and use them multiple times a day in every room of our house. They are an indispensable part of our daily life. Thank you to David and SoCal Shades. You have a customer for life.

What truly sets…read morehim apart is not just the quality of his work, but his exceptional customer service and integrity. David installed zebra blinds in my home about 7.5 years ago, when they were still relatively new to the market. Even today, guests regularly compliment how beautiful and modern they look. The quality of the product and installation has truly stood the test of time. Recently, after more than seven years, I reached out to him for another home project. To my surprise, he still remembered me and even remembered the neighborhood I lived in. He came by to help without hesitation and continues to provide free support for any concerns or questions related to the products he installed years ago. That level of after-sales service is incredibly rare these days. I've recommended David to several friends over the years, and every one of them has been happy with his workmanship, fair pricing, and professionalism. What I appreciate most is his honesty--he gives truthful recommendations, patiently answers every question (and I always have plenty before placing an order!), and never pressures you into buying something you don't need. If you're looking for someone who stands behind his work long after the installation is complete, David is the person to call. It's refreshing to work with someone who genuinely cares about his customers. Thank you, David, for your outstanding service over the years!
