He is truly the best counselor I could have asked for, and for a reasonable price too. I'm a second year college student and I remember trying to look for counselors when I was in my senior year of high school. The "decent" ones were like $6000 for sessions that lasted a couple of months. The cheaper ones I went with, I was so unsatisfied and ended up quitting in the middle because the counselors did not try to understand my strengths and weaknesses in depth to prepare me for college. Needless to say, my faith in how well counselors work was broken a long time ago. UNTIL I met Michael. Michael is THE BEST I've ever encountered, trust me. He takes his time to understand you and ask you such deep questions that makes you understand more about yourself so you know what are your greatest strengths and weaknesses not only when applying for college but also for internships, jobs, and life in general. I only had about a month and a half to apply and in that time, I was able to be on my current college's Deans Honor List (4.0 GPA) while successfully write several drafts of my application essays and coming with the best one. This was possible because Michael pushed me to be my absolute best and made me believe I could achieve EVERYTHING. From Michael, I now understand my true potential. This may sound cheesy but I mean this from the bottom of my heart. If you're looking for a college or career counselor seriously, go to Michael. He helps you achieve your goals in the minimum time needed and is ALWAYS there for you. I was able to reach out to him for help on college applications, internship applications (and it looks like I'm about to get one!), as well as help whenever I had something going on in life. He is very trustworthy and treats you more like a friend than a counselor, while helping you achieve what most counselors dream of helping their students achieve. I had the brilliant idea to take this expedited class during a summer session. Will not recommend. Overwhelmed is an understatement. Without Marc, I would have sacrificed a lot of sleep for the sake of crunching numbers and formatting what feels like a gazillion statements! And for those who know me, I love my sleep and pray for those who try to compete with it. I was debating about getting a tutor since people kept saying that C students still get their Master's. I tried to convince myself that I will be okay with a C but noooo, A is a must. So I called Marc and set up times. He was accommodating and patient. Explained every module and syllabus in a way that makes perfect sense! I knew I had some not so bright moments but I never felt stupid. I liked how he explained concepts in a way that you will understand. After, 6.5 weeks of weekly sessions, I kinda miss my zooms but don't miss the accounting exercises at all!
