It is a fun local fest that spans thru the entire inner City in Darmstadt. It starts on a Thursday late afternoon and ends on Monday night with a huge firework. There are plenty of rides for the young at heart available and also for the smaller children. Plenty of food booth with a very wide variety of food. Ample amount of Beer tents that also have food. A few arts and crafts booths and a variety of food stands with everything your tummy desires. Pizza, Brats, Garlic Mushrooms, Crepes, Fish in Buns you think of it they probably have it. Sundays is usually very crowded. If you can somehow manage to visit on a Thursday night or Friday that would probably be your best bet. The fireworks on Monday night also was very impressive.

About a 30 minute train ride away from where I was staying but what a cozy nice little theater. You could tell the owners loved film from the decor and how well it was maintained. Snacks were tasty and well priced and everyone working spoke English without any issues.

Unfortunately, choice is limited - but judging from the all too often empty auditorium, there is no demand for more. The auditorium itself is nicely tiered, i.e. even short people have no problem looking over the head of the person in front.

Turns out we had to go to the lobby and get different tickets but we only found that out from another customer when it should have been management. They could have just put up a sign. After the movie I tried to get my parking ticket stamped for reduced parking because they have a deal with the parking lot across the street but they had already closed the cash registers so they wouldn't do it. So parking cost me 8Euros! While I enjoyed the movie it altogether cost me 22Euros which is too much and in the future I'll stay home and watch Netflix.
