I went to Select Physical therapy last week. It was my first time ever going to physical therapy of…read moreany kind and I was going for a hypermobility assessment; going into it I had decided that I wasn't interested in anything other than that because I was sure my insurance wouldn't cover enough for it to be worth it and I also know it'd be a struggle to find time/energy to do any "homework" assigned to me. Plus it would be difficult to go to an appointment every week or two due to my schedule. I had been told that I'd be seeing a woman but they made my appointment with a man, Zach, and I was in a panic spiral as I waited (and corrected paperwork - apparently their online paperwork system doesn't always transfer things properly) because I have really bad PTSD with men. My spouse, who comes with me to all medical appointments to help calm me down, said he'd try to figure it out and encouraged me to hang tight. When Zach called us over, I told him I had been told that I'd be seeing a woman and that I have PTSD regarding men, especially being touched by men, so I was very nervous. He said we could reschedule if I preferred or that he didn't have to touch me if that worked for me. I really didn't want to schedule and he seemed willing to work with my trauma so I decided to give him a chance and I'm so glad that I did. Zach was super respectful, professional, and thorough. He never touched me, as promised, and even went as far as to tell me if he needed to move around the small, private room and why he was moving. By the middle of the appointment, I felt myself relaxing because he did everything he could to make me comfortable and understand why I was there and he really listened well too. I was given "homework" and I told Zach that I was unable to come back regularly but that I'd try to do the exercises. I didn't tell him this but I'd be willing to to come back in 6 or so months they help and I feel like they're not challenging anymore. Genuinely, Zach made an experience that could've been scary and traumatic into an experience that was affirming and healing. I can't say enough good things about him. The high rating I've given my review is entirely because of how Zach handled my appointment and the level of dignity and respect he showed me. Also, I was never misgendered by anyone in the office, which I really appreciate. So often I'll get misgendered in medical settings so that was nice.

Awful!!!! There is no worse feeling in the world than calling to check up on a dieing loved one to…read morehear things like, I'm in so much pain! My nurse should have been here yesterday but never showed up! I can't go to the hospital to get out pain because they said I have to call them and they won't help me. They never submitted the papers for a care nurse. And my friend hasn't had a bath for 2 weeks because there's no body there to help him! It took a month to get a bed delivered, and nobody has ever considered getting him a walker. And icing on the cake they have done nothing to find him an impatient or long term facility. But why would you, if he were to go into a long term care facility you wouldn't get paid. I think it's shameful that you allow people to die alone and in pain. Additionally the case worker, didn't fill out the correct paperwork for his insurance. So at the last minute there's a jump through hoops to get the paperwork in last minute. I would never recommend this facility to someone I hated let alone someone I loved. Find a facility that cares and ensures your loved ones are cared for. Not this place.

My wife has end stage dementia. From the start, I kept being told what they could not do(I don't…read morework those hours, for example). When our nurse(Victoria) called in sick the agency did not find an on call nurse. They also did not call me, so I had to call them and hold for 15 minutes. When the Nurse's aide did not show up, they had no idea and offered to reschedule. I had to explain to 4 different people why that would not work. The next week, the aide did not come out because she was not advised by management. She cam the next day because management did not originally put her on the schedule. The next week the nurse's aide was not aware she was now handling my wife's services and did not show. You only get to say "I'm sorry" so many times. I terminated the service. Their job is to make an end of life transition easier and less stress filled. In my case, they only added to the problem.

Obviously , but when you can only afford so much , or a gift card is given you do what you can. After the second time I went and her working on my knots in my shoulders I was extremely sore. I wanted to ask her to move off of it because it was then hurting but figured she knew better than myself. So I didn't return but my son thought it be nice to get me another gift certificate and he did. In between the time he got this , my other son, his brother suddenly passed away. Needless to say leading any kind of normal life has been difficult. So time passed ( a year) and I called to check on my gift certificate. By now it had expired she said! I however did not realize that GIFTS expire! It would have been better business ( to keep me as a customer) to honor it as it was only 30 minutes. So she just got FREE money for NOTHING and now I would never go back and told her I would go elsewhere. Her response was, and I quote "GOOD!!" So good luck going there and hope she won't be as rude to you as she was to me! I am always willing to give a second chance before writing anything negative in regard to the massage itself, but she is responsible for not getting a second chance!
