After the end of the longest lift serviced home run on Earth, is a great bar run by a very cool family. Mostly locals and loyal out-of-towners....these people treat you right. Nice cozy place to meet with skiers, natives and visitors, without the noise of bands or sports TV getting in the way of conversation. It's the first place I stop when I get to town; the shuttlebus from Chatillon (train station) and Saint Vincent drops you off across the street and last place to stop in for cappuccino on the way out of mostly overlooked, Valtournenche. Silvana is continuously serving up plenty of hors d'oeurves and with the local patois lingo (more French than Italian) flying around, almost anyone can blend in; if not Davide, will translate. Antonio is a true gem; I wouldn't drink anywhere else...it helps makes this town a real easy choice over the very touristy Cervinio or Zermatt, CH on the other side. read more
