This is quite possibly one of the most fun and entertaining bars I have ever been to in my life and that is saying something. The bar itself is tucked into the historical area of Zermatt and fills up quickly as people leave the slopes. Judging by the crowds, it seemed as though a great many of there were locals and people that were regular tourist to the area. Upon arriving with my fiancé, we could tell one of the reasons that the people were being brought in from the slopes to the establishment had something to do with the bartenders. Even my fiancé said they were beautiful. They were charming and not sloppily dressed or composed like many American bartenders. Just this fact improved the bar, because it inviting and comfortable for arriving couples, singles or groups. One could tell that the waitresses were well received as a part of the Zermatt local color as they recognized many regulars who walked in. They had 3 taps of Swiss/German beer flowing with a variety of mixed drinks for sale as well. I tried all three beers and gave them a grade A. My fiancé had a hot chocolate with rum that was more boozy than it was chocolate for $8 (a bargain in Zermatt). The music was a mix of European dance music (a thankful departure from the American pop found almost everywhere else). From time to time, the waitresses would start dancing to the music alongside the crowd. It even included what looked to be a 6 or 7-year-old girl dancing along while sitting on her father's shoulders. This was just a really fun place and a highlight of the trip for the two of us. read more
