Book nooks are always cosy, especially on a dreary day, and most especially surrounded by second hand books at reasonable prices and any form of brunch food. Also, a stray peloton that has drifted in off the road in their lycra and those little clip on shoe things that make them walk funny.
The venue is long and sprawling and good to explore, while the coffee was great and the food was nice, perfectly serviceable corn fritters and eggs benny and all the favourites are there, you know the ones, plus an entire page of cakes and such - the lime and macadamia burned a particularly big hole in my retinas, although I wasn't allowed to order it because we were hitting the famous Berry Donut Van right afterwards and I got outvoted on two desserts before midday.
