Deborah, You are so mixed up with your facts, I'm not sure…read moreif it is your strategy to be confusing on purpose, but your facts and timeline are quite wrong. When I first met with you in July, I could not have been more clear!  I gave you the monthly amounts my mother was receiving from the German Government over the last 25 years.  I also was crystal clear that my mother had no other income or assets.  Once again I will tell you that your advice to spend down her assets by 7-31 was reckless and clearly wrong.  After much frustration on how you were handling this case, I contacted the social worker at the state.  Suffice to say, our conversation was very informative.  My mother's case was never in danger of being denied....however the state had a simple question of the funds my mother had. This was not complicated, regardless of your attempt to write scripture of commingling issues of money segregation in my mother's accounts.  There was one account....the only money she had was reparation as well as her monthly social security check.  The explanation was that simple, and that is all the state required.  You had quite the nerve saying that "you recall that my mother was unable to be of any assistance to your efforts"...clearly your recall is poor at best, you had all the information you needed when we first met in July my mother's assistance was not needed.  You knew that my mother was in a long term nursing facility at Seabury....your statement was cruel...what is wrong with you? Once again you were quite wrong in stating there was a risk in the state denying the claim.  I know this for a fact because I contacted the case worker directly.  Suffice to say the information I received was illuminating.  Also, when I told her that Seabury was asking about my mother's account, she offered to contact them on my behalf.  When I told you Seabury was asking me about my mother's account you told me "dance around their inquiries" Deborah, there are so many sad parts of this case; from embarrassing a trusted colleague who recommended you, your hazy recollection of facts, giving me wrong and reckless advise to pay down her assets, stringing me along because you were in between clerks, as well as denying that you suggested that I purchase a television for myself using my mother's money, (maybe that is just Elder Care Law humor), but I was appalled by your suggestion.  This should have been an amazing case and learning experience for you, as well as a privilege to work for my mother, and learn something about her legacy.  I expected professionalism from you, and did not receive it.  You are continuing to put ego before integrity...I did not receive your best efforts, and you did not perform to the best of your abilities. I could keep going on and on and will if I have to.  My suggestion is to do the right thing.  Life is short enough.   I think you know the right thing to do is send me a complete refund, as well as the additional $6500 that I am out of pocket. Word of mouth is a very effective way to generate new clients and retain current ones. This practice may replace your newspaper advertisements.
