First, if you expect Attorney Waterfall to speak to you with respect and treat you with dignity then forget it. The first custody hearing seemed as if my ex wife had dual council and I had none, I was even told to "stop talking" in the closed door hearings in front of my ex wife and her lawyer even though things were in my agreement that I didn't agree to. The following meetings my requests for modification were met as if I was "asking for the moon". Then came time to pay another retainer fee, which is steep, but being told that more time with my kids was possible I paid it. When time came to meet with my council I received a phone call saying "Attorney Waterfall had other appointments and would call to reschedule". After numerous attempts on my part to reschedule and put in more motions for modification of my unfair custody and visitation my calls were not answered. He took my money and ran. Unless you are a celebrity then Attorney Waterfall will not help you unless you want a guy who is more interested in the "quick win" then what is in his clients best interest.

Second example, terrible performance on my Grandmother's Estate. She was probably charged enough to create a Trust, but it sounds like a complete shit show in probate. She had been appointed to my case for 6 months before she ever met my child. When she did it was ONCE for a hyper-prepped, unrealistic 1-hour visit. My case was extremely involved, lots of exhibits, lots of witnesses. She sat on her laurels for months and months, doing next to nothing. All the while I'm receiving invoices. You had to spoon feed everything to her, and even still, it was like she sat with the information in her mouth, waiting for someone chew and digest it for her. I think she's very clever, but not for the reasons one would expect. She's actually managed to secure a high paying, respected position by doing as little work as humanly possible. I think she went on 5 vacations throughout my case. But it all made sense at the end. Come to find out the almighty expert - the GAL, representative for the minor child - doesn't even have children herself. This explains why she was polite enough and full of smiles but boldface clueless. Also explains why she was always away 'out of town'. When she wasn't getting paid hundreds/hr to sign off on things on behalf of the best interest of kids, she was enjoying the freedoms of a kid-free lifestyle. Very strange. She also gave testimony that was misleading. She claimed something extremely damaging (that was true and provable) did not happen on a bizarre technicality that when asked about said incident, the relevant wording was paraphrased instead of quoted. Such a lowball move. Oh, and one of the concerns involved the other party not feeding my son (who is tube fed) and I found out that Pam was playing devil's advocate by questioning whether or not all of the feedings were necessary or equally important (even though they are medically prescribed as such) because some were run at different periods in the day and over different periods of time. She doesn't know that I know that, but I do and that's got to be the most crooked, unmotherly logic I've ever heard. If she's going to be in law, fine. But stick with personal injury or something. Don't be the representative for a child where all your experience is text book. Appalling.

His effort from the beginning of the case a year and a half ago to the end showed how he utilized his time. When I speak about time, I'm talking about Attorney Lugo's work ethic. He was and always has been very thorough in obtaining and reading all the information for my case. He even found certain discrepancies in the documentation versus the verbal statements which helped our case. His demonstration of tenacity, resilience and consistency was proven by being available for my family and I'm talking on multiple calls periodically throughout my case. This man is not a nine to five lawyer we spoke at times around 10:00 p.m. at night not just about a plan for our case but he called about my family. They waited till 5 minutes before closing on a Friday to tell me, so if I wanted the house that weekend I had no choice. When I complained I was told I should have read the contract. I thought my lawyer was supposed to be on my side! Secondly, the entire project of selling and buying both houses was my and only my project. Although my husband and FIL were there, that was just to sign things. The older male lawyer asked a question and as I tried to respond he told me to hush. I was traumatized so I did what I was told. Every question he asked my husband, my husband had to get the answer from me. Third, although I was on an extreme time crunch, they barely tried to get ahold of the other lawyer. I had to pay a month hotel bill for my in-laws as well as a month of maintenance and rent for the place I was buying Long and short they are unprofessional and do not care about their clients.
