love this place! I have been looking for used books in English for 2 weeks, that don't cost the…read moresame as a new book and found this gem. Tons of books, yes, you have to search a bit, but after 15 minutes I walked out with 3. and best part is they are on loan, meaning I have two months to read them and when I return them I get all my money back -€1.50 for each book. Which is great for a traveler who doesn't want to carry around a bunch of books and weight but loves to read. I can't wait to finish my books and get more.

This was my second time at Another Country; the first time we tried to visit on a Monday without…read morerealizing they were open Tuesday-Sunday. Blerg. Anyway we finally made it in tonight. The staff seemed pretty enough, as in we were greeted, given general directions on their purchasing/lending rules, then free to browse without interruption. I'd describe this store as a shitshow in the best sense of the word. I've never been in a building like this, in Germany or otherwise. The rooms were massive with 18-20 feet high ceilings and STACKED with books. The sections were categorized by fiction, crime novels, biographies and so on. In my opinion, the books were 70% basic run of the mill garage sale type books, so you really have to dig deep to find anything worthwhile. We purchased 5 books for the whopping cost of 25.50€, and if we return them we get all of our €€€€ back, minus 1.50€ per book. Not a bad deal and for this reason, I'd definitely return!
