A very ornate detailed gothic church that is a bit shy of 800 years old and containing a huge tower that you can climb for a small fee for one of the best views of Bern. The detail in the front of the last judgement (difference of the wicked and the righteous sculptures) is just amazing and I cannot fathom the artistry and time it took to decorate and finish! Inside some amazing detail also in the ceiling and beautiful colour and detail of the stained glass windows. I really like the freaky skeleton detail of death with the living. It must have had an amazing story behind itself. I'm not currently a religious individual but I have mad respect for the the churches and detail put into making these places of worship, history and storytelling! read more
