I had Mapfre until this year and complete crap for insurance and customer service. We had our home,…read morecars all under them and I'm moving on to someone else who hopefully has better manners and customer care. Don't waste your time with these guys. They are borderline criminals and have business practices that should be reviewed. I had a minor incident with my Tesla and needed to have the bumper and headlight repaired. I was able to get an adjuster to look at it quickly but they lied to me and told me I could only take it to their facility which they claim is certified by Tesla and it's not really. They don't have any special equipment to deal with EVs. After that I had to wait from Sept 25 until Feb 5th when parts finally arrived. Then repairs took another 2 months. On another repair for my Volvo that was also pretty minor they fought with the body shop that repaired the vehicle. And you know what now they have refused to renew for the next year. What a piece of $h*t company. They will happily take your money but they don't provide you with service.

You get the thumbscrews over recent earthquakes and then they demand a few somersaults cause of hindsight considerations. In my view, you're better off just walking into some place unannounced, sit down with the assistant, ask for their proposal on the spot. Let them as market representatives decide what's insurable or not. This online platform, unfortunately, reduces applicants to a status where they're redundantly groped, then directed to perform actions that should lead to meaningful determination, but you either get non-response as I did [here], or grossly inflated premiums from others who have scrutinized your scrotum right off apparently. I ended up buying only basic structural/liability/medpay from a producer who was more dependent on office staff to broker a deal over cyberspace game where twenty questions lead Applicant into limbo. That's an event horizon I'd care not to cross again, feel me?

When you need a voucher to fix an expired marbete? 5 days! Recently they told me 2 of my cars "were not insured" when they were. Offered me a second policy. This is just on the personal side. Don't worry about 3 months waiting for a commercial quote. My other agent, I have been with 10+ years. Never have I experienced such bad service or an incompetent group of adults. STAY AWAY!
