And I didn't need the graft that may have been possible. Numbing before the needle made it painless. We got on the subject of his being Scottish which led to Scottish singers and bands. I mean, I used to go to the very first Park Dental that was in Brooklyn Center growing up and then that chain just blew up. With that blowing up(went to the Grand location), I never had the same dentist or friendly service or care that I used to receive. It was nice but it felt like a factory and when you are all up in there, I kinda want to know you. And now I do. Paul is awesome and the staff at the office are alway top-notch. I get my reminder calls and scheduling is always accommodating to what my work schedule is. You need someone in Highland, the Mendes Family Dentistry is the place to go.

My wife had started going there before we got married and I got on her insurance just to go to Mendes. If you're looking for a great local dentist, this is your place.

I was very impressed. Dr. Ballin was matter of fact but kind, however, during my procedure I became a bit scared due to medical PTSD from an extended hospital stay because of being caught in a house fire. Something triggered that, and I began to mildly hyperventilate. Rather than speak kindly and softly to me to try to calm me down, Dr. Ballin became irritated and snapped at me to calm down and not hyperventilate. This did not help. When I went to see him for the wisdom tooth removal consult, totally unprompted, he told me, "Because of how your throat is built, you would still have sleep apnea even if you weren't so heavy." Thanks for the comment on my weight, sir, but pretty sure I did not ask for your opinion either on that or on sleep apnea. He lost my business after this. I now use OMS. If you're thin, he's a great oral surgeon, but if you're "heavy" I'd suggest avoiding his practice since he seems to be unable to keep his thoughts on appearance to himself.

Dr Hartman was able to restore my hockey tooth back to the natural color esthetics pre trauma! I asked him to clean out infection with extra measures since I have a heart condition, but he did the usual inadequate scrap job that all the Oral surgeons do. When I asked him to put his advice and final diagnosis in writing on letterhead, he refused at first. I had to call his office three times to get this. This is my patient right to ask for this. Unfortunately, the document he gave me did not include the surgeon's phone number. This afternoon I called Park Dental Mac Groveland to get that number. The person who answered the phone asked for my name. Then she asked for my date of birth. Then she asked for my address. Then she asked for my phone number. Then she said she would have someone call me on Monday. I explained that I was simply requesting a phone number for the referral I was given this morning, so I could call today and make an appointment. She said she couldn't do that because of HIPA rules, but would have someone call me on Monday. All this to get a simple phone number for a referral I got this morning? I appreciate the excellent care I get from the dentists and professional associates at Park Dental. I wish I could get comparable service from their front desk.

I am not the one to give bad reviews but this place is not the greatest from a dentist service perspective &to even make matters worse, this locations front desk staff goes the extra mile to be rude :(
