It can even be difficult to get in line on market days (Tuesday, Friday, Sunday) when merchant stalls block a direct path to the door. This bakery-the ovens are just to your left when you are making and paying for your selections-is a cut above the ordinary. And despite how busy they are the folks behind the counter are knowledgeable and friendly. This is our daily bread go-to place in Annecy.

I stopped by around 1pm on a Monday and there was about 3-4 people in front of me, but it moved quickly. The staff were super friendly, and they spoke English as well. They had so many delicious looking pastries and savory items. I'd heard that Lyon is known for this pastry, brioche praline, so I wanted to try it out. I personally wasn't a fan of the taste. Just not my cup of tea, but I'm sure the other pastries were good. I'd come back and try other items.

I wanted everything but went with my usual croissant aux amandes and added another pastry I can't recall at the moment for later but both were delicious. They're open pretty late (19:30) and perfect location if staying in one of the neighboring hotels.
