Fair reasonable pricing, experienced team, professional advice, listened intently, very carefull operation, thorough cleanup. Wanted to save, but severely trim, tall trees overhanging our house. Their Boom Truck extends perhaps 80 ft. It reached over our garage to get to those limbs. Great job. Jack OB Pittsfield read more

I have contracted fora variety of services, including tree removal, trimming, stump removal, clearing, excavation, and I must say that all the services has been truly excellent if not superb. I have appreciated their expertise and judgement, partnering on the decisions on which trees to take down or which ones to trim. They have cleared trees and landscaped areas of my property, transforming them from scrub land to beautiful spaces, significantly inproving the value of the property as a whole. The team works extremely hard and they clean up after their work as though they are cleaning their own property. That kind of pride in the work is often hard to find. I plan to use them for some hardscaping with fieldstone on my own property, and look forward to the continued collaboration with Berkshire Tree Service. read more

I have used Berkshire Tree Service a hand full of times ranging from taking down one tree to seven huge pines trees at a time. Every single time Peter, the owner, and his team, does a great job. They are consistent, reactive, professional, conscientious, very competitive and friendly. They have been around for a while and it is clear why. Thank you very much Peter and crew. read more

The most destructive tree service I've ever seen. They left our yard full of craters where logs fell, our grass is all dead, they destroyed most of our fences, tore down a 60 year old grape vine and left it in our yard rolled up in some of the our fence they tore down, there's like 10 bags worth of leaves in the yard still, ran over our wooden deck and smashed it, and when we asked them about it they said they were done. The whole time they were here they were screaming and swearing at each other including the boss, my neighbor even complained to us that one of them whipped out their junk and pissed on the fence while she was looking out the window. We we're totally screwed by these people and we're going to have to spend time and money cleaning up this disaster and starting over. read more

Our property backs onto Holyoke State Park, which left us with a dense 10-foot deep wall of seemingly impenetrable brambles. We had started clearing it by hand, but hadn't yet hauled away the debris. John showed up with his "Bramble Eater" and in short order turned the whole mess--roots and all--into mulch and put it back on the cleared area as fill. He even leveled the berm it had created and chewed through a half-dozen old cedar posts and downed tree sections like it was nothing. I can't overstate how impressed I was--not just by the power of his equipment, but by his work ethic on a rainy, muddy day. The "after" photo says it all. The "before" was a tangle of brush and debris that he completely transformed.
