And was able to come out and spec our two properties with significant tree issues within 2 days. At our main house, Yuri dealt with a towering 130' cottonwood that was ROTTEN from the inside out. Kind of amazing that we've lived here through the 2017 TORNADO and other big wind events and had it remain upright. It would have taken out the entire back of our house. He also dropped a phone-pole sized dead ash. These were big trees...on a hill...on our tiny plot in Conway. Not crane-able at ALL. He had to climb and top them carefully...dropping the sections away from a stonewall and our house - which is 40' from each. Yuri managed that with ease! WHAT. A. BOSS. Second property is our project property with a myriad of trees in various states of rot, age, proximity to the house, size and species. Yuri's superpower is his ability to talk you OUT of taking a tree down! Lol! I really enjoyed hearing his opinions on long-term projections about each one we looked at...and what made sense, both NOW...and...in 5-10yrs. For example, the grove of black walnuts that were taking over a building site....or the GIANT red oak that was cracked. Or the 140' white spruce. Yuri gave us real insight into what not only made sense...but what was important to deal with NOW...and later on. So? If you're in the 413....and have tree needs....don't be "that guy" and get the corporate tree guys with their expensive, sometimes over-priced toys. Get the guy who LIVES and BREATHES trees...and speaks "fluent tree". The sheer amount of work Yuri and his guys managed in ONE-DAY (one freakin' day!!!) all with a bucket truck, climbing, ropes, ride-on skid steer, and a lotta know-how, was unreal. And I'm a homeowner who gets after it with my own chainsaw! Simply floored at how good Yuri and the Doncev crew were. I was VERY happy with the work done by the 2 men who removed the tree, trimmed the 2 others, and CLEANED UP the yard thoroughly after their work was done -- you would never even know that extensive work was done that day. I am, however, EXTREMELY UNHAPPY with the tree stump removal (IN THE FRONT YARD!!!). The stump grinding created a great big HOLE in the ground and a HUGE pile of dirt and ground tree stump right next to the hole. He told men that they "never fill in the holes", that's up to the homeowner to do! I am a woman, 77 years old, disabled, and walk, in great pain, with a cane -- and I was left with a great big hole and a huge plle of dirt TO FILL IN MYSELF !! Now I have to find someone to PAY to fill in that hole. They charge a bit for delivery (which is typical), so to save money pick it up yourself if you can, or share a load with a neighbor if you only need a small amount. This year I inquired about their compost. I didn't go with it, as I want organic for my home veggie garden, but some people may be less picky than me. They said it consists mostly of leaves, horse manure, and cow manure, with a relatively small percentage of (I'm assuming chemically treated) grass clippings. They are always very friendly when I call, and the delivery man is friendly and careful about tree branches and pile placement when dumping. We've been happy with their service and products and will continue to order from them.
