Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy with Johanna - A Rare and Beautiful Experience…read more I came to my session with Johanna feeling emotionally raw after a difficult stretch -- grieving and caretaking for loved ones. What she offered wasn't just a session -- it was presence, stillness, and deep care. Johanna held the space with such gentleness and clarity. Her presence was grounding, nonjudgmental, and intuitive. During the session, when she placed her hands on my feet, I wept. Not from sadness exactly -- but from the relief of experiencing true kindness. It had been a long time. That simple act of connection reminded me what safety and support can feel like in a body. Johanna didn't rush, didn't try to fix or analyze. She just stayed -- and in that stillness, I found something I hadn't realized I'd lost. If you are carrying grief, exhaustion, or simply longing to come back to yourself, I cannot recommend Johanna enough.

I got a fluff and buff on my back for what seemed like an hour, including hot stones, 3 times more work on my left arm, so my right, dominant arm was neglected. Then 20 minutes on the back of my legs. I turned over and got a nice face/head massage then foot massage for the balance of the session. Full body massage includes the front of the body - front of shoulders, abdomen, and legs. I was stunned and then confused when she said the session was done. I've had tons of massage over the years with LMT's and Chinese therapists. never been this disappointed.

I recently visited Body & Soul Massage & Wellness for my first massage experience, and…read moreunfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. I went with a group of three other women, and the initial check-in felt a bit disorganized and uncomfortable. The staff were very particular about who needed to go first, which was surprising since it didn't seem like an issue when we booked over the phone. During the massage, the therapist was kind, but she talked the entire time, which made it difficult to relax. As someone new to massages, I didn't feel comfortable asking for silence. I also felt like there wasn't enough focus on the areas I specifically mentioned--I was hoping for deeper pressure and more attention to those spots, but each area seemed to be worked on only briefly, and the pressure overall was quite light. I also felt a bit uncomfortable during the repositioning process. When I turned over, the therapist lifted the sheet and covered my chest in a way that didn't feel very discreet, and it didn't seem like much effort was made to maintain privacy. After the massage, I overheard one of the staff members in the lobby loudly ask the therapist, "Did any of them tip you yet?" which felt unprofessional. I paid $135 for the service and left a $10 tip, and when I handed it to her, she responded with "Just 10?" which made me feel awkward and uncomfortable. Overall, for a total of $145, the experience felt more like a light, rushed massage than a relaxing, professional service. I left feeling unsatisfied and disappointed with the value for the cost. I will say- the other two girls in our group had a better experience than me and the other girl did who had the same therapist.

Now we know to request it, though I'm sure they'd set you up there automatically, if its available. We did the combo again, which is currently $61 for credit/debit card, for an hour total. I think next time we'll try something new, because why not? My instinct is, that no matter the service we chose, its going to be incredible.

It's a body scrub where you are completely unclothed and a woman with two minutes rubs your body and dead skin flies off. At the end, you were rubbed down in oil. I was worried that this wouldn't be relaxing, or it would even hurt. Let me first say that they put you in a sauna for as long as you can stand, and then a wet sauna. Next you go into the room face up, and the scrubbing starts. Well, it is not as relaxing as a massage, by any means There is much satisfaction in the results.
