The last time I went in the fall they had free hot tea waiting for you just inside the door. I always end up finding something to take home, and can circle the store 3 or 4 times and still find something that I had previously overlooked. I've popped in and out of this store for years, and it never disappoints. It's Berkeley Springs, so you are dealing with older buildings that are often large converted Victorian homes. They creak, they lean and they make for small stores packed floor to ceiling with goods. If that's not your thing; do yourself a favor and stop looking at things to do in Berkeley Springs. This is a store full of Himalayan wares. You know how the pizza place smells like pizza, the indo - spice mart smells like curry, the Mexican joint smells like Mexican food, and the head shop smells like incense? Well this store has its own aroma that your schnoz isn't used to suckin' down its breathin' hole. So if you're THAT person; you know the one who gags walking by a Yankee Candle and performs covert ninja operations to pass thru the perfume section of a department store undetected; then this is not the store for you. It's not overwhelming, and it's certainly not bad, it's simply different, and not everyone likes different. Parking is limited since this is on a side street, but hey this is in a walkin' town anyway. It's such a fun little store to explore with a pretty cool staff. If you dig the other specialty shops in Berkeley Springs, you'll definitely dig this place.

My boyfriend is a woodworker and I've definitely seen some indivual unique pieces here. There is some pretty amazing metal sculpture art. Particularly loved the ones hiding in the bushes out front. What really drew me into the store was the cat figures, available in multiple colors the cats were in a sitting meditation pose (You can also view the art on their Website) Although they ranged in many different sizes I found the small ones rather affordable at 20 dollars each. even if your not an art collector or you find it too expensive for your tastes I recommend this place as rather decently priced... and I've traveled and worked in many historic "quaint" towns. My boyfriend found the most amazing colorful socks that was uniquely mismatched and made in the U.S. there was no questioning that he had to have them. other things I found myself very fascinated with, the clocks, glass and woodwork combinations, jewelry and the wood framed sand/water bubble turners. Located on the corner of Fairfax street and just along the main drag of town directly across the State Park. This place is worth checking out every time you visit. We were happily greeted upon entering the store this past Saturday and highly look forward to returning next time we pass through town. While street parking is also easy in most areas, if you wish to park very close to the store I recommend you bring a good chunk of Quarters to use the 2 hour parking meters outside. You get 30 minutes per quarter so its not too expensive as far as meters go. It is also may be wheel chair accessible as the front door had a small ramp that winded around the corner. However it is of course a small store to begin with.

I have been in store may times over the last 5 years. There's a mix of really interesting things…read moresome of the depressing brown "shabby chic" decor, some out and out junk. Nice big place with lots of aisles for wandering around The booths are mostly very small but neat and clean. There are a lot of the "shelf" type of displays, and they are almost all very tidy and clean. The restroom is always neat and clean too, just putting that in there. Before the pandemic, they had a nice coffee table with some cookies etc on it when you came in. Unfortunately it will be my last visit there. It seems to be a "masks optional" place now and I'm not interesting in shopping in a store with that kind of ethic. Given that most of the staff and customers seem to be over 55 and have some weight challenges and other obvious health issues, I was surprised that none of the staff and several customers were all happily not wearing masks. And one of the older staff members was chatting in the aisles with equally bare faced customers. One guy was coughing. So, the upside is, if you're the kind of person who could care less about others in your community and refuse to wear a mask, stop on by. If you do care about your fellow man or your own health, give it a pass.
