There is no reception but you get a code to enter at the door when you arrive & when you enter the code you will get a physical key to get into your apartment/room. The rooms are very clean and some basic soap is provided. It was perfectly comfortable for my two night stay. The real highlight of this place is the location - I didn't have to take any public transit the whole time I was in Zurich apart from to and from the lodge to the main train station when I arrived and departed (so you save even more money just by nature of staying here because transport isn't very cheap). It's so centrally located that I was able to walk or bike to every site I wanted to visit. It's also in a neighborhood that seems to be popular amongst young professionals - plenty of bars and relatively less expensive restaurants and takeaways, by Zurich standards. I will certainly stay here again when back in Zurich!
