I use Carl Hanton at Premiere Tax and Accounting to handle all of my tax controversy work. As an…read moreoverworked small business owner, I don't have the time, nor the expertise, to keep up to date with tax strategies and negotiation tips with the IRS. In fact, what happens, is that life will get in the way and I'll lapse and get behind on a form or something. That's the lesson many of us learn when we decide not to hire a professional from the beginning and have to make the call after we've already made a mistake. So, with that lesson learned, and my carefully curated cadre of professional consultants identified, Carl's professionalism and experience are what I rely on when I need tax and financial guidance and counsel, particularly in confronting tax bills. It's great because Carl speaks to me in a language I can understand: IE - not like an accountant. No offense to accountants! He also stays in communication with you, keeping you accountable for what you have to get done on your own. Really just a great partner to have in your personal and business tax needs. I unhesitatingly recommend Carl and Premiere Tax and Accounting.

Extremely disappointing experience, especially given my family has used this office for over a…read moredecade. I met with them in December and was told they were happy to take me on as a new client, with clear guidance that documents could be emailed. I submitted the majority of my forms on 2/16 and clearly communicated that one document was still pending. I uploaded the final form on 3/11 and followed up on 3/16 to confirm receipt--no response. On 3/24, after continued silence, I called the office and was told my return would require an extension and would not be completed by the deadline, which was surprising given how early everything was submitted. That same day, my parents--who have been clients for over 10 years--went into the office and were told that my return was being worked on. On 4/3, I called again for an update and was told there was no clear timeline. When Sam called me back, he admitted he had not even started my return, estimated "next Friday most likely," and then told me to "stop calling" the office. I only reached out a couple of times due to the complete lack of communication on their end. For something as time-sensitive and important as taxes, this level of disorganization and dismissive communication is unacceptable. Update: After posting this review, the firm dropped my parents as clients despite their long-standing relationship of over a decade. While businesses can choose their clients, the timing and handling of this situation further reflect the lack of professionalism and client care described above--especially during tax season.
