It is an enormous plus that this hotel allows pets for ten dollars per pet, per night. My dogs are old and one of them is blind and has diabetes. I can't board them or have anyone watch them because Oscar requires insulin shots and won't let anyone but my husband do it. 2. The rooms are always fresh and clean. Smoking is not allowed. 3. The bathrooms are clean and the shower has good water pressure. They give you lots of towels. I love towels. 4. The lobby is nicely decorated and has a comfortable couch to sit on. They always have coffee available right by the front desk. Usually, there are cookies by the coffee and occasionally even fresh fruit. 5. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. We are always greeted with a smile. 6. There are vending machines located on the first and second floor. If I recall correctly, the drink machines accept credit cards. One of the drink machines has healthy choices. (Water, diet drinks, Powerade etc.) 7. Breakfast is included with each room from 6:00 am to 10:00 am. They have everything! You can make your own waffles! There are danishes muffins, and other pastries. Scrambled and boiled eggs are available as well as sausage and bacon. You can have a bowl of cereal with low fat or regular milk. Have some yogurt! Get some juice or coffee. They have you covered for fruit, too. Want real butter? They actually have it! 8. They have a heated, indoor pool. It only goes to five feet. It's open until midnight, if I recall correctly. Enjoy your stay!

The side door on the north side of building is not locked allowing people to walk in without a secure key. Some rooms are heavily smoke smelling!! The drains back up into the tubs so You shower in a foot of water and at times black pieces of mold are seen floating in the tub! It's sad that through out the year this local hotel has been left to slowly decay and become tired. With some love and care this hotel could be a great stop on your travels. But until then they should remove the H and put an M making this a Motel instead of a Hotel

You could tell the ceiling had leaked and not fixed. The worst was the bed was like a large marshmallow! We slept on the edge of the bed so we didn't sink! Some general upkeep and cleaning would do wonders we will stay in Paducah next time.

It looks very small from the street and maybe only have 8-9 rooms I think. It was very easy to check in and the lady was very nice. There is covered parking right in front of your room door. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked inside. It had a spacious living room area with a tv sofa coffee table and large chair, along with a kitchen, full size fridge, microwave, sink, actual dishes, coffee maker, a dining room table that seated 4 people. The king size bed was in this room. There was a small bathroom in the hall. There was a door that led to the other bedroom in the suite that had its own tv, a queen size bed, and then a huge bathroom. The shower was a walk in shower and was about as big as the other bathroom in the hall! The beds were very comfortable (I kinda wish I had that mattress at home) and the rooms were very clean. It felt like we were at a home away from home. Bonus was that they are pet friendly! There was some wear and tear in a few places. There was a little paint peeled off in the queen bedroom at the baseboard and the tile on the kitchen counter was cracked pretty good. It was nothing that was really noticeable if you weren't OCD lol. The checkout process was easy....just leave the keys on the table. We will definitely be staying here again if our family reunion is in KY again next year!

After a long day of travel, my family and I pulled into the Springhill Suites by Marriott parking…read morelot exhausted and ready to relax. Fortunately, we were quickly checked-in by a gentleman (I was so fatigued that I forgot to obtain his name) at the customer service desk. The gentleman provided us all with our keys (my parent's and sister had one room, while my wife and I had another) and a detailed rundown of the hotel's amenities (i.e., gym, indoor swimming pool, complimentary buffet-style breakfast, mini-market, and bar). Desiring to wind down and enjoy an adult beverage (or two), my wife and I headed down to the bar. The bar area is very comfortable and has a plenty of seating options. We were warmly greeted by a bartender named Megan who immediately inquired about our drinks of choice. For the first round we opted for vodka tonics and margaritas for the second round. Megan was so kind to hand us a remote to one of the televisions so that we could tune it to a station of our desire (at the time we were the only individuals at the bar). Megans drinks were absolutely delicious (especially her margarita) and she even provided us with popcorn to soak up the alcohol. After a much needed night of quality sleep (I forgot to mention that the rooms are very spacious and clean), my wife and I headed downstairs to grab some breakfast. That particular morning they had the following food & drink options: scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes (complete with peppers and onions), a wide range of cereal, muffins, bagels, yogurt, juice, coffee, and tea. After enjoying the surprisingly good breakfast (hotel free breakfast can be hit or miss), we made our way to the gym. The gym had an exercise bike, treadmill, elliptical, and dumbbells up to 50 pounds...plenty of equipment to get in a good workout. We enjoyed our three day and two nights stay at the Springhill Suites by Marriott, I have bookmarked this hotel for future stays whenever I'm in town visiting my family in Murray!

Beware of predatory cancellation policies on Marriott's promotional rates!…read moreI booked a three-night stay at the Murray Hotel months in advance using the Senior Citizen rate for my elderly mother. Tragically, my mother suffered a severe fall requiring emergency hip surgery, making our trip impossible. Even though I cancelled a full three weeks in advance, Marriott charged us for the entire stay--hundreds of dollars. They claimed this specific rate was tied to a ridiculous 30-day cancellation window. Here is why this feels completely deceptive: Shifting Rules: Looking at their website right now, that same Senior Citizen rate is listed as "cancel the night before." Zero Transparency: The online cancellation system gave me no warning or notice that I was about to be charged the full amount. Absurd Demands: A 30-day cancellation requirement for a standard July booking is unheard of in the hotel industry. I reached out directly to both Murray Hotel management and Marriott Corporate. Neither offered a shred of empathy or flexibility for an unexpected medical emergency. Their response was essentially: "Too bad, we're keeping your money." Shame on Marriott for hiding behind fine print to profit off a family medical crisis. Think twice before booking their promotional rates!
