It come with two fried shrimp, fried mix veggies, goyoza, rice, salad, and California rolls. The shrimp is fresh and big enough. The second bento is chicken katsu. It has a similar combo side dish. My sushi tasted fresh along with the California roll, I also traded sushi for a piece of shrimp tempura and I agree with hubs assessment. We shared a dynamite roll that came with a sweet sauce. Well ok, it was a bit strange, it was definitely the first sweet dynamite roll we ever had. Their sign says open till 3pm on Thursdays. I stopped in at 2:40pm and I was told they are closed. Strangely their door is open and I saw a customer waiting by the register. Sorry but that is bad customer service. Upon thinking it through some more I decided to up this to 3 stars. Even though they turned away business when they are open. They are probably preparing for their dinner rush later in the day. I recommend not coming too close to the time they are closing. Our server was very in tuned to our needs and well versed in everything on the menu including bottled drinks. She went out of her way to accommodate my 2 boys with their needs. Bentofu opened about little more three weeks ago. We walked in without any expectation as to the quality of food or service. True to its name, (Bento is a convenient food), it is served a cafeteria style where you order your food and when it is ready a server will deliver to your table. This is wide open with simple decoration and clean. Wife ordered the General Tso's Chicken Bento Box. It came with General Tso's Chicken, Jasmine rice, lo-mein noodles, ginger salad, and mixed vegetables. The General Tso's well prepared with hot pepper and it is tasty. The Jasmine rice is freshly prepared, lo-mein is tasty as well. I opted for a regular Sushi plate. It came with Miso Soup, a huge ginger salad and 8 pieces of Yellowtail, White fish, Salmon, Eel sushi and a small Tuna Roll. As a first timer, I ordered a Mango ice tea without any topping instead of Kirin beer. The sushi are fresh and they are prepared with love! Well, further examination of simple menu revealed they have side orders; Edaman, Harumaki, Shrimp Shumai, Shrimp Tempura, Gyoza, Krab Cheese Wonton, as well as Scallion Pancakes. Next visit we will have a few friends here so we can share some of their side order and signature sushi rolls. As we walk out, we are glad that we try our neighborhood, Bentofu! read more
