The store is clean and thoughtfully organized. Their toy and supplement sections are fantastic, and they have a lot of toys that I have only been able to buy online previously. While customers can find some truly great brands of food here (Orijen, Honest Kitchen, Primal frozen, etc), the store also carries a rather wide selection of not so hot foods (Bil Jac, Kibbles n Bits, etc), so consumers should be sure to do their research since corporate philosophy does not prevent them from selling very low quality/controversial foods. One surprising omission in food/treats was Sojos. One disappointing thing, and something that will most likely prevent me from buying food there regularly, is that they do not track loyalty programs. Wag n Wash, Pet Pantry, and Bentley's here in town all have methods of tracking loyalty programs for foods that offer them (Orijen and Honest Kitchen are the two with which I am familiar). Granted, I can cut out the UPCs, save them for months, mail them in, and get a coupon for free food, I appreciate the convenience of a store doing it for me, and think that is something that sets apart true boutique specialty pet stores.

My husband and…read moreI came to buy some fish for our kids, the only person available to help was this bearded guy with no name tag and when asked for help with the fish he immediately expressed his displeasure with doing the task. I then seriously asked this guy if he did not want to do it, we could leave and purchase from a different location and he immediate answer no what you want, we asked him for a red fin (and gave us red heart fish). While scooping the fish he did not use care or concern for them, scaring them all over the place to the point of his frustration on not able to catch any, he then took all the water plants and tossed them on the dirty floor, once he had gotten the fish put them back in. Maybe a considering factor of why this fishes don't last long. I will say we should have walk out immediately but one I was not in the mood to argue with this guy and two didn't want to have a further altercation he seems like the type of person his head will boil up for the smallest of thing even more so with women. So definitely a bad taste for sure, not sure I want to ever come to this store again.

I know I'll be coming back possibly by 2 week or 1 week of next month to shop and grab samples!! Don't get me wrong the place is filled with good food and treats for dogs and cats! Mind you, it's a 2 second walk to our vehicle, she is a short haired dog that will take 2 minutes to dry off with towels and blow dryers, and we brought a jacket to bundle her up while walking in and out of the store. We called another location and asked if we were allowed to bring our dog for a wash and the worker sounded like it was the silliest question. He said of course you can wash your dog at wag and wash and has never heard of a customer being turned away for it being "too cold". This experience was extremely uncomfortable and awkward. Seems like she either was just so blatantly lazy or does not care about her job or customer interactions.

Hmmm.... $8 vs. $24.... let me think about that. Also, they have hydraulic bath tubs, so you don't have to strain your back loading Fido into the tub or getting him out. The driers work fine. The wash areas have separate rooms, so you don't have a problem with unnecessary dog-to-dog interactions. Staff are friendly, providing extra towels and grooming brushes. What's not to like? The website says pickup is usually ready within an hour or less, but that definitely hasn't been my experience. One time, I'd already been waiting for over two hours and happened to be in the area, so I went inside and asked about my order. The employee just walked over to the shelf, grabbed the item, and handed it to me. He also seemed kind of out of it, which just made the whole experience even weirder. I get that stores get busy, but this happens often enough that it's pretty frustrating. We were trying to get them groomed before family came to visit later this week, including meeting our dog for the first time. When we picked up our poodle, his coat had been shaved way shorter than we or anyone ever would have approved. The issue isn't just that it was cut so short it's that no one called to ask before doing it. I called the next morning, and the lead groomer called me back. Instead of apologizing, she blamed my husband, saying he signed off on a quarter-inch cut and that they got the "vibe" it was okay to do whatever they thought was best. That was never authorized. Yes, he had some minor matting, which is normal for a poodle, but he's been groomed many times with similar matting and has never been shaved this short. If they felt they needed to go shorter, they should have called us first. What upset me the most was the lack of accountability. Not once did she apologize. Instead, she said, "I'll put it in the notes, but maybe we're not the right fit for your dog." We paid $140 plus a tip, and all we wanted was an apology and better communication. Mind you she also tried to tell me that this is the same haircut he got last time which is inaccurate! I have photos that show his haircut previously, and it was not this short! Also the last time they cut his hair (the first time) , a gentleman had cut his hair and failed to tell us that he cut his face. He didn't even apologize but since we had taken our goldendoodle here multiple times before I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and just try it one more time as that groomer was no longer at this location. They need to take accountability for their mistakes and at the price that people are paying for grooming service services. This is completely unacceptable! Instead, we were blamed and dismissed. It's especially disappointing because we wanted our dogs looking their best before our family arrived this week! Unfortunately, I would never recommend this dog groomer!
