I decided to stop in on my way home and boy am I glad that I did!! What a gem of a shop. 3 floors representing many different dealers with a wide selection of inventory. Prices vary greatly (as they should) but Bobby (the owner) was willing and wanting to make deals with friendly customers. Bobby and his team were incredibly sweet and very lovely to talk to. Bobby mentioned that they just re-opened for the season this past week. Everyone who worked there was pleasant and helpful. You can tell that Bobby has been in the business for a long time and that he has a great deal of knowledge that he wants to pass along to others. It was obvious to me that Bobby cares about the business and that he wants to do what he can to help get younger generations interested in and excited about antiques. I unfortunately had a time restraint due to my work schedule the day of my visit so I had to set an alarm to remind myself when I had to leave by. Needless to say, I snoozed my alarm 3 times . Ladies leave your handbags in the car or be willing to lock them in one of the available lockers at the front of the store. They (understandably) have a handbag policy to help prevent theft across the store. That said, I heard Bobby thank numerous customers for being understanding of the policy. Just be aware of the policy before you go and don't take it personally as it's a store policy and it applies to everyone. Sadly, I'm sure it was put into place for a reason. Be respectful and understanding and that will go a long way with the employees. There are SO many treasures to discover at this shop so be sure to leave yourself plenty of time to look around. It is definitely worth making a trip to Rowley to visit this shop. Be sure to check hours ahead of times as they are not open 7 days a week. Rowley is over an hour away from me but I will DEFINITELY be back and will be telling others to make the trek as well.

Bobby is the absolute best! in all of the east coast area I can't think of a better antique shop…read moreselection or better owner. Every time I go in he greats me with a warm welcome and even remembered my face after being away at college for a couple years. I can really tell how much he cares about his beautiful shop and his shoppers- he makes every visit so special for me and my girlfriend. To anyone discouraged by his policy on not allowing larger handbags I think you have to consider how much inventory goes missing and how hard that must be for the shop. He even offers a small paper bag for any belonging you'd like to keep on hand during your browsing. As a former worker at the Village Silver Smith, I saw how much was stolen by all age groups so don't feel singled out if he asks you to leave your bag in your car or at the front desk.

Not your average touristy why-do-we-really-want-any-of-this-stuff-anyway store. Just to give an idea of the range, DH got a wallet and bought me some lovely earrings, we got an alabaster bowl, some beautiful abstract sculpture that is actually a clump of barnacles, and beautiful snail shells from the Phillipines, that are gorgeous colors. We wanted to get a lovely watercolor done by a local artist. It was reasonably priced, but out of our price range for that day. Check it out! ETA: 7/17 - couldn't get the painting out of my system. Bought it! And it's not watercolor, it's chalk. On their FB page, you can see a drawing (looks like painting) of dogs. The one we got is by the same artist.

I finally found the store and there were two older women at the counter yapping about some trip and covid. I was in there about 20 min and the women (so can't blame young age) could not be bothered to even say hi even as walked by them. They were non stop yapping. I was set to buy a few items but if they couldn't be bothered then I couldn't equally be bothered to hand over money. Even when I left no comment which I figured no goodbye would be said. Wow in this day and age when businesses are struggling to survive, you think they might be more customer focused.
