Our first experience with Mason was great, but our two following visits were not as positive. Mason may be a nice guy and do a great haircut, but he does not keep to his schedule. Our second visit, we arrived a few minutes EARLY for our appointment, but we waited for 30 minutes while he finished with another customer, after reassuring us that he would be done "in ten minutes." When the same thing happened again on our third appointment, the wait was longer, to the point where we still hadn't been served when his NEXT appointment showed up! That's when we left. If it is only Mason in the shop, and he's going to take his time for a precise cut - which is great in princible - he should spread out his appointments, instead of trying to cram them into 30-minute increments. read more

Visited recently for a traditional men's haircut. He fit me in to a busy schedule worked late as the shop is always busy. Best men's Barbershop I'd ever recall being to. Owner knows what he's doing. Followed instructions well. Very hard worker, organized, far better equipped than most and the shop is very clean. Usually went to a salon when I kept my hair longer. Open during Covid and they take appointments ! Location is central to the shopping center in Solvang by Rite Aid. I was impressed with how clean and sanitized the barbers stations were. They always follow guidelines and require masks and social distancing. I haven't felt safer or more appreciated when Eduardo offered a complimentary beverage and went over what kind of cut we were doing. The owner is really nice and is grateful to have people support his new business during these times. There is also a TV with Amazon Fire stick so they play music and movies often. Mason's personal and professional approach is appreciated. I was in Solvang for a meeting and found his shop. Too often I go to Super Cuts type places but I wanted a more professional look. This was a much better cut with attention to detail. You can tell he cares about his work product. I walked in and was lucky to get a chair as he was booked later on. After 10 minutes a guy showed up, asked if he had an appointment then said he needed to go somewhere and said he would be gone 10 more minutes. 30 minutes later no one showed. I've known him through the grape vine for a really long time when I heard he took the leap of faith and started his own business in the midst of all this craziness I decided I would show him and his business some support! It's really far out of my way but I think it'll be worth it! His hair cuts are everything you would expect from a top notch barber.
