The children love it. They have different sessions on during the day where you can hold the animal like rabbits and triashulas(may not be a good idea if your scared of spiders). They also have a small soft play area inside for the kids and a bouncey castle. The food is reasonible priced and nice. The only thing negative I found was if you don't get there fairly early you may find it get quite full.

They deal with the full range of animals from domestic pets to farm animals and horses. I have taken two dogs one that sadly had to be put to sleep but they did give all appropriate care and dealt with the situation very sympathetically. They even sent a sympathy card to the family which was much appreciated. They are presently caring for our new dog and have given us lots of useful advice. There is an associated dog boarding kennels and cattery on site. It is necessary to book early as it is very popular.

My 21 year old cat…read morehad severe stomatitis, my usual veternary surgey wanted to put her to sleep, despite the fact that she is perfectly healthy in all other regards. I sought a 2nd opinion with E. Barbour Hill and he didn't give up on her. She is now so much better after surgery and living life to the max. I now have another cat with the same condition and she is also being treated with care and concern by Mr. Barbour Hill. Honestly could't recommend this surgery enough.

She and her husband…read moremade the difficult decision to take their 17 yr old dog to get put to sleep, as anyone who has experienced this its very upsetting but for most a peaceful process. She chose to stay outside while her husband took their dog in due to being too upset and she could actually hear the sounds of pain her dog was making from outside the building. Most vets these days choose to sedate animals before administering the euthanasia drug - and for good reason. I'm not one to leave bad reviews (and Ive not even gone into full detail here) but too disturbed by this not to, this vets methods are out of date, for your animals sake please look for someone else.

Freshfields do a fantastic job finding homes for unwanted animals. They take animals in and will…read morelook after them until they can home them. Like all rescue centres they have loads of kittens and puppies looking for some where to live, but they also have adult animals who are semi-permenant residents. When we last visited it was only to take some old pillows, but we had to see the kittens while we were there. Needless to say we came away £30 poorer but with a little bundle of fun - 8 week old Scrabble - one of the many kittens. The staff are very good at helping you to choose the right animal for you, and they would far rather keep an animal at the rescue centre than send it to the wrong home. When taking an animal you only ever adopt it, with the condition that if you are unable to continue to care for the animal it must be returned to Freshfields. They also ask that cats are kept in at night and that all animals are neutered as soon as they are a suitable age. Freshfields also rescue horses, farm animals, ducks and feral cats to my knowledge.

This is the first time they have been in kennels and we were very worried they wouldn't be happy. We needn't have been. They look so happy and healthy and have clearly been cared for extremely well. Although they have little contact with other dogs, after a few days causing chaos barking at everyone they now seem to be uninterested in the other dogs and get along fine. The kennels are very well organised and the cages and excercise area clean and tidy. If you are looking for a kennels who put the care and welfare of your dogs first then you will struggle to find a better kennels than Trefdraeth and we cannot recommend them highly enough. The couple who run it are very friendly and our dog was made to feel very welcome. Our dog was not the easiest to deal with, a rescue dog that hated other dogs. We had previously taken him back to the rescue centre to be looked after when we went on holiday as they knew him well, although they use to groan when they knew he was coming in. This place shut down suddenly. We were pleased therefore when Llain Gryn agreed to take him. He had many happy visits there before he sadly died and their care was excellent.
