Reminds me of FAO Schwarz. Two entrances one side had an interactive tv with photo opportunity with their mascot the frog. There are usually kids playing at this entrance. It has one floor but it is a good size "toy" store of all kinds of toys, dolls, puzzles, games, legos, and candy. They also have a baby section with accessories and clothing. The sections are divided by interests. Since it is almost Easter there are lots of chocolate animals and items to make cute Easter baskets. They have a pretty extensive stuffed animal selection in the center of the store. read more

This is an awesome toy store that can surely please all ages. Before walking in, you'll notice the entrance door is unique, there's a tiny door built in for kids to come through! Although not huge, this store has a wide variety of quality toys divided by section. All the plushies in one area, a doll area, lego craft and do-it-yourself kits in another, figurines, and there's even an area where you can build your own bear from the stuffing to the clothing. There is a candy store as well, a really cool machine where you can fill huge pixie sticks full of the sugary powder. You create your own combination. For those who would like to host a birthday party or perhaps bring their child for an arts/craft class, there is a designated area to hold such an event. My friend and I, in our 20s, with no kids, were browsing through this store and ending up walking out with some goodies for ourselves. It's a really fun and well thought out store. read more

Hands down the best toy store I've seen in Canada, maybe anywhere. As another reviewer noted it's a bit like FAO Schwarz without all the elaborate displays. Wandered in here recently while exploring the Saint-Roch neighbourhood with my husband and baby. It was our last day in Quebec City and we were ducking in and out of shops/cafes to kill time before our evening flight home. The staff was very friendly and didn't bother us at all even though we lingered in the store like hobos before finally making a purchase. The toy selection was amazing but what really impressed me was the selection of children's books and costumes. There is also a craft area which would be a great place to host a kids' birthday party and a nice display of products made exclusively in Quebec. The little clothing boutique at the front carries some high-end baby and children's clothing (Burberry, etc.), if you're into that. There is an eatery at one end of the store that could definitely use an overhaul but they did serve up some decent poutine. Would love to go back some day when the wee one is a little bigger. read more

One of the best toy stores I've ever been in. Not as large as FAO Schwartz but much nicer toys and lots of interactive areas where kids an play. We were on our way to the train station to catch a train back to Montreal and stopped here. We got these amazing hard foam, 3 dimensional puzzles from a company in Quebec (we always look for locally made toys) and they are great. read more

What a beautiful, whimsical, amazing toy store! I had to add a ton of pictures so people can see what I am talking about. They have toys, toys, TOYSSS galore. We visited on Christmas Eve and there were barely any people in the store. So many options for kids and families of all ages. There are toys, arts and crafts, books, baby supplies, a bakery and candy shop, just everything you can imagine and more. We were so impressed with this store. If you're visiting Quebec City area you must stop here. Friendly staff; mostly French speaking but they were able to communicate well enough with us in English to help us out! What a wonderful gem - really reminds me of the golden, olden days, before the onslaught of big box stores, when shopping for toys was a magical and intimate experience. Extraordinary toy store! Worth stopping in, even if you are only a kid at heart. Wide variety of puzzles, games, lego, stuffed animals, you name it. There is also an extensive candy counter - if you get hungry while shopping, try the small cafe attached. Their sandwiches are so tasty (duck was a favourite) and the fruit muffins hit the right spot. read more

Fantastic toy store--a true can't miss if you are visiting with kids. We didn't try the cafe, but the shopping was great. Stores like this won't exist in 20 years, so plan on going for 1-2 hours when in town. On-street parking only, but it's not hard to find. read more
