I went specifically to see if they had anything related to Mark Twain. I was not disappointed. On display were some personal furniture items from his Elmira home, for example. I also was lucky enough to visit when I was the only one there, which gave me the opportunity to wander at my leisure without distraction. Some of it wasn't that interesting to me so I skipped it - but that $3 price tag didn't make me feel guilty. The woman working at the desk was also really friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

I was surprised at how beautiful this museum was. The initial room was a bright room lit by a skylight. This museum is one of the only/oldest spots of early classical art, where the collection is housed in the original home, in nearly the exact original configuration, without any pieces being sold off. Gorgeous and worth the 7 dollar entry fee alone. They also have modern art and local art. Some colorful and provocative. When I was there, they also had some local Elmira artists, and some other random artifacts. Beautiful and worthwhile.

I wish they would blend the bison with a fattier meat to lighten up the meat patties. Because the meat is so lean the burger was quite dense. All of the sides were delicious. Just a note if you are a coffee drinker: they only had powdered creamer. It was fun roaming around the restaurant and watching the bison being fed. The parking lot is gravel and had muddy ruts.

The museum is located within a building that used to serve as the Corning City Hall - a beautiful building. They sell a combo ticket with the Corning Museum of Glass, so we decided to check it out after a visit to the glass museum earlier in the day. The museum is quite small but has an interesting collection of American and Native American works. They also have two gallery spaces dedicated to temporary exhibits. While I enjoyed our visit - the collection is well displayed on the walls of their beautiful building. But it's not a large museum, and I wouldn't say it's a must visit if you're in the Corning area. Worth a stop if you have a bit extra time in town - especially if you're interested in the temporary exhibit; it's a nice little art museum!

I got no email receipt for purchase. Ended up doing a screen capture/ and emailing myself the image of the QR code and showed that for entry, which worked fine. The projector blanked out three times during the film, for multiple lines of dialogue and most of one scene. I figure, once is a surprise, twice is - c'mon now. Three times? This almost certainly has happened before, and I don't know what the timeline is on repairing that, but I will save my money and probably not make the drive to pay to see a film there again. Popcorn was ho-hum. Hot pretzels were good. Husband loved the fried ravioli. But the thing, I'm there for the *movie*, not dinner out. I was happy to see the movie since everyone is raving about it, but I feel like the color vibrancy and pop I wanted to enjoy was missing in this experience. Random people turning on and off their cards and headlights during the film is annoying, but not the end of the world. Really though - fix that projector!

Ciders wise, here are two that you HAVE to try, that aren't sold by the can or anything, the Tart Cherry. (#7) and the Squeeze it Peazy (#9). My friend and I ordered several flights (4 drinks x 4 oz = $8) and enjoyed ourselves. Between the Tart Cherry and the Queen of Tarts, I definitely preferred the cherry. Pizza-wise, I kind of went nuts. However, I was a little surprised, and not exactly in a good way. It's a damn good thing they have the buy 2 get one free on the pizzas on Thursday night. The butternut squash/apple special pie was... sour? I asked the bartender if that was normal, and she said that the one she had wasn't sour, and that was apparently the end of that.
