We went to their workshop and they were extremely helpful and friendly. We looked at different…read morematerials and the options that were available (we selected quartz) and they gave us a quote for the work. The work went ahead and they arrived on the arranged date and measured up. The quartz was prepared and fitted about 10 days later. We had the worktops, upstands and splashback fitted and it was installed, joined and finished to an excellent standard (I have never seen better) and to the agreed schedule. The adhesive used did smell while setting but this soon went away. All the work was completed with minimal fuss or mess. The worktop is really spectacular and our builder was extremely impressed and has also recommended Marble Supreme. I would definitely use them again.

Very friendly up…read morefront to get you suckered in and take your deposit, once paid you'll see their true colours, when asked to provide a date for install, their response is "we can only supply this once deposit is paid", same question asked on paying deposit, now they won't respond to phone calls or text messages, the one or two they did, they had every excuse under the sun. Once on site very aggressive behavior, the work they carried out is average at best. Once completed, or what they call completed, is a site full of mud and offcuts everywhere, holes cut-out of existing concrete for posts not back filled and left looking disgraceful. I sent them photos of my concerns, within a couple of minutes of sending them, they were on the phone yelling abuse. Once they had begrudgingly tried to fix these issues, within 24hrs of them being on site i receive another aggressive text with what they call their final demand for payment... STAY AWAY!!

Opus is a glass makers shop based on Chandos Road in Redland. It's a small shop, but it has a really good artistic atmosphere, and when I went in, although I wasn't looking for anything in particular, I had a lengthy chat with the assistant. They run glass making courses, where you can create an object of your own making under their guidance, which sounds like an appealing idea. They deal with both residential projects and large commercial ones - they've installed a number of stained glass pieces in a few restaurants and office buildings. This is a really interesting shop - just pop by for a chat if nothing else.

Opus is a quirky shop that makes you question its location on Chandos road. Surely there can't be…read moreenough people in the surrounding area with a desire for wonderful hand made glassware? Well it survives and them some...the staff are extremely friendly and showed me their pieces. I imagine some of them would look exceptional in a contemporary kitchen or bathroom. The colours are vivid and you know that you are getting something unique as all the pieces are made lovingly by the two owners and the two owners alone. This is the sort of local business that deserves your support, so go on the website, have a browse and start looking at that dingy bathroom that could do with a bit of decorating!

If it's tool or plant hire you're after, and you want a good professional service then you'll be coming here. On the tool side of things they have everything from drills to sanders to decorating equipment. The plant section is equally stocked with anything you could desire such as mini diggers, dumpers, and compressors. There's a free delivery service if you're local and if you're not it's not much more anyway. Their kit is always in excellent condition and their rates are very competitive. They can deliver sand and gravel, remove waste, supply drivers - frankly quite a lot of things. If it's tool / plant hire you need, you can do much worse than giving these guys a call.

I have to say that I would still rather go to Cabot Circus rather than Cabot Carpets however, if you do need a carpet at least at Cabot Carpets you'll find a huge showroom and may find what you're looking for without having to go and compare in lots of other shops. A man from CC's came and measured up our office space, and rather than try and sell us a more expensive carpet, pointed us in the direction of an equally good cheaper one - it's a shame not all salesman aren't like that!

I had been thinking about changing carpets for a while as mine had gone past their sell by date. They have a good range of carpets from wool to synthetic - the staff are very helpful. There is the normal I do you a deal - type talk - and they did. They came to measure my property and quoted. The price was fair and included installation. The installation was done extremely well and I am very pleased with the result. If you are looking for carpets - Cabot Carpets in Southmead might be worth considering.
