Our goal was to expose 2 brick walls in our South Philly row home, and build out a custom mantle for a beautiful antique surround we had sourced through an architectural antiques dealer. Harlan was quick to answer my call (score number one), easy to talk to about my vision for the project, and provided visuals (score number two), and was in constant communication throughout the whole project (score number three!) It was a larger project that, given the work, was pretty disruptive to our day-to-day life (jackhammers on the walls, sheets of plastic taped up in a maze, and brick dust everywhere) but Harlan's incredible team worked quickly and punctually to get the job done in about a week's time. Every worker who came through the house was respectful and kind. Price was excellent for the services we received: the value can't be beat. We couldn't be happier with the final result - it truly did wonders for our space. If you're looking for exposed brick work in Philly, please, look no further than Pinnacle.

Harlan came out to give us a quote and spent over an hour walking through all of the things that could be done and explaining the processes. This was very comforting, especially as a first time home buyer. We had a significant amount of work that needed to be done (painting walls/trim/doors, window trim installed, quarter round installed, dry wall installation, exposing a brick wall, exterior painting and the list goes on). Harlan was great to work with and thoroughly explained each of the items on the quote. The team was able to start very soon after receiving the quote. They were very diligent and ensured that I was kept in the loop on the progress that had been made each day. They continually provided input and suggestions on what could be done at the house. The team exposed a brick wall in one of the bedrooms and re-pointed the brick where necessary. One of my favorite things was a column that Harlan built around an exposed duct. The column is now a statement piece in our home and we are so grateful for it. Harlan & his team were able to do a lot more than just painting at my house. They were very patient, paid attention to detail and ensured that we were happy with the final product. I definitely recommend Pinnacle Painters & will be using them in the future for any general contractor items.

Mike and his team did such an extra extraordinary job that I recommended his services to my two best friends. I can't exaggerate how pleased they were. Mike and his team were always available for consultation or to answer questions. As a seller What I found to be an essential part of Mike's service is that his team can solve almost any problem or deal with any situation that can arise. Mike has access to a team of highly skilled tradesmen that can solve almost any problem. I know this from Personal experience. Mike had a skilled tradesman repair and finish a severely leaky basement. He had someone do major wall repair. And in my brother's house, he had a damaged and warped pine floor made new by a master floor finisher. I took Mike's advice and had it prepared and staged. The simple investment increased the selling price by more than 40%. And that's what it sold for. Below is a picture of my brother's house after the staging. Whatever the real estate commissions are, you cannot get a better value than Mike Mccann and his team. Do you live in or near Philadelphia? If you do it is my opinion that there's no better team than Mike McCann's for their service and dedication, and the value that they offer. He is number one.

We usually reserve this kind of work for people we know or recommended by people we trust. So, I was a little skeptical about how it would turn out. Michael definitely delivered. He showed up the next day to give a quote, sent me a quote a couple of days later, and then started the job two weeks from my initial inquiry. So the first part of this review is that he showed up in a timely manner, which was something 4 other people failed to do. He worked on our basement drywall after we had a flood. He replaced the bottom half of what was cut out, put in trim, and painted. He also built us a wall split up the giant space. It all turned out really well and I couldn't be more happy with it. My only complaint, but not enough to lower my stars, was that due to our basement set up, all the spackling sanding ended up on our first floor (there's no door down to the basement). It was everywhere. If you'll have this same issue, I'd recommend putting up some sort of plastic barrier. If you need drywall repair, give Michael a call! He also accepts Venmo, which was a plus for us.

We contracted for exterior paint in 1998 prior to a Christmas House Tour and then again in 2013 for a "spruce up" prior to our daughter's wedding. November 2015, we brought Mohr Painting back and they are now in progress of painting the 1st floor interior of all walls, ceiling, and trim in powder room, mud room, dining, living, family room, kitchen, foyer, hall and stairwell. Bernie and Frank Mohr and assistant painter, Steve, are courteous, accommodating, and take pride in their work. They clean-up after each day and take care that furniture and floors and interior closets are protected from preparation stage through final enamel of trim. The job is coming along as scheduled (with 4 areas completed in 2 days) and should be completed within one week from start. We took the time to get additional estimates from painters in 1998, however, Mohr was the most reasonable with excellent references. We haven't felt the need to get estimates from anyone else to compare since then because we are extremely satisfied with their pricing, skills and service. Five stars!

I give Vandele my highest recommendation for anyone looking to refresh or reimagine their living…read morespaces. They are talented, organized, fair, willing to listen, easy to deal with, professional, honest, and willing to make amends when they don't live up to their high standards. Briefly, we bought an apartment in an old Center City building that was suffering from hideous, drab brown walls that sucked the life out of the place. When we contacted Vandele, they were prompt and professional (unlike another painter who bailed on us at the last moment), first in scheduling an estimate - at a really competitive price - and then at scheduling the job itself. They even met us halfway with the price of a paint that we'd really loved, even though it should have been a higher cost. They offer a design consultation, which happened about a week out from the start date. My partner and I had already spent quite a bit of time thinking through color schemes, so this session was more of a chance to have a professional listen to us and reassure that what we wanted to do would look good. I think if you are more uncertain of color, you could get a real consultation and recommendations, but in our case, we just needed someone to tell us to stop looking at paint sample cards, that we had made a great choice. It's a small thing, but these nice, small things are what separate Vandele from others. On the day of the painting, the painters showed up on time, first thing in the morning. They would be there every morning on time for the next 4 days, just as the company said they would. I cannot tell you how much of a relief it is to have people do what they say, to not be worried the job won't get done, to have to be calling to find out what is going on, arguing to get what you are paying for. Since both of us work, it was wonderful to leave the apartment in the morning and know that we would not have to worry about the painting during the day and would be able to return at night to see the progress made during the day. They did their job while we did ours. After 4 days of work, the apartment truly looked like a different place. In the end, that is probably the most important part of the job and they excelled at this as well. Everything looked clean and skillfully done, no sloppy splattered paint where it didn't belong, no missed spots or not enough coats. Just clean edges, vibrant paint and a beautiful apartment that we could now call our own. After the job was complete, we did have one issue, but the way Vandele handled it makes me want to recommend them even more. We initially went with a bold color in the bathroom and immediately regretted our decision - the painters repainted it white the next day. After the job was completed and we resumed showering, immediately we realized that the paint was not handling the moisture well, as it looked like it was literally sweating out yellow paint. We contacted Vandele and showed them the problem; they agreed that the bathroom-specific paint was not used with all of the changes and offered to repaint the bathroom at no charge in a timely manner. No argument, no hassling over price, just an acknowledgment of a mistake and a plan to remedy it. We can't ask for anything more.
