We signed up for their couple pricing and since it was January the signup fee was waived which made it very affordable for us. It is $45 for the two of us which comes down to under $25 a piece. This membership price includes not only the weight and cardio rooms but all of the classes, the pool, hot tub, and more! I definitely feel that I can get my moneys worth out of the membership fee here. I try to use their cardio and weight rooms at least 3 days a week. I love their interactive cardio bikes that allow me to turn cardio into a fun gaming experience. The weight room is well organized and offers plenty of options for all muscle groups. We use the pool about once a week or so and I really enjoy being able to do so. The hot tub is a welcome addition and really helps with my Fibromyalgia. Overall, I really enjoy this center and am incredibly grateful that it exists. I don't know what I would do without it.

This is a small pocket park on the outskirts of downtown St Paul. The .45 acre site was originally…read morethe Pedro Luggage and Briefcase Center, and the land was was donated by the Pedro family to the City of Saint Paul to be developed as a park. It has a distinctive mural as a backdrop and is home to the Urban Flower Field. There is metered street parking available, but I really do not see this as a destination park. The park is maintained by local residents and community members of the buildings which I think is awesome and gives them a sense of ownership of the park. In the summer, the park's gardens are in full bloom. I visited in early spring so it was pretty bare while I was there. It is absolutely gorgeous in the summer with the Adirondack chairs and full plants. You may not be able to tell from the ground level, the plants are arranged in a spiral shape, mirroring the mural on the wall. It is also ADA complaint. It has been known to host community events and Music in the Park. It is a very chill and laid back park. I would definitely enjoy listening to music while drinking some lemonade there, on a summer evening. I will admit that the park's utility is limited, but it is a work in progress and I am excited to see what the developers have in store for this place.

I admit to even being a little A.D.D. about it, but hey there are worse things in life. I like most people also like to save money. The Washington County Environmental Center has both. We've been coming here for a few years now. The W.C.E.C. is open to all residents of Washington County. The W.C.E.C. pretty much takes all those things you could throw out in your normal garbage and all of the items you can't throw out, for FREE. Yes FREE. Some of the items we have taken there over the years are truck loads of cardboard boxes. We've been in our house for over 20 years. I've saved boxes from years ago "in case" we move again so we can pack items in their same box. This has lead to us having way too many boxes. So the "boss" finally said we need to get rid of a bunch of these boxes. We loaded up our truck and dropped them off at the W.C.E.C. We've also taken cans of paint and stain as well as TV's and electronics. The list of items they do not accept is far and few as they accept a lot of items. Did I mention this is FREE? The process is quicker than going to your local drive thu. You pull in and follow the signs to their garage area. As you pull up they ask to see you license and then they unload your items. This is better for the environment and you don't have to pay your garbage company. The other thing that they do is somehow refurbish paint and cleaning items and sell them for pennies of the dollar inside their shop. This is a great way to save some money on items you'll use around the house. Cleaning and organizing our home certainly helps me be more like Mr Mom than that "guy", The longer we're around, the more we will be back to the W.C.E.C.
