Had a good time here for my MIL birthday. I loved the vibes. Inside the place was more jazzy with…read morethe mans playing the saxophone and outside was where the party was really at! Outside they played music that I would've listened to. I was inside for the most part cus I was cold af but a couple drinks in and the weather outside wasn't that cold after all lol.. My first drink I asked for the lady bartender to make me a mixed drink with tequila in it. I wasn't specific on what kind of tequila & mind u it was NOT busy at the time.. it was still early like 9pm type shit. She already looked annoyed. Made me the drink and I asked how much. She says $11. I gave her a $20 and instead of giving me my change, she just looks at me and closes the register. Uh mam?! Really? I assumed she wanted her tip, but that's not what u do. How rude. I was gonna give her a tip but not my whole change WTH. Koo u have that. The drink was too sweet and barely tasted like any tequila was in there anyway. I ended up just ordering from the guy bartender the whole night and he got all my $5 tips and wasn't light handed on the liquor neither when I was buying double shots of casa migos! Great service on his end!! Overall this is a nice place to get together wit ya girls or even wit ya mans n have some drinks and have a goodass time!

We had been seeing The Cutting Board ad for their Christmas Prime Rib dinner. It was our intention…read moreto have this for our Christmas dinner. Unfortunately as we saw the party at the table next to us had ordered the Prime Rib, it was nothing as was advertised. A very thin, dried out looking slice of beef, barely an ice cream scoop sized dollop of mashed potatoes, and a sprinkle of green beans. The party had to twice ask the server for Aus Jus and horseradish sauce. Seeing this disappointed us and we decided to forego the Christmas special and instead order from the menu. We started with an appetizer of Crispy Shrimp which was ok but not so crispy as they had been drenched in some sort of sweet sauce and served over dry rice noodles; very unusual. We then ordered a Caesar salad to split, it was ok but lackef dressing and the bit of dressing that was there was definitely not Caesar salad dressing. We ordered a Supreme Pizza which was also very disappointing. It was thin crust which we expected but it was do drenched in a heavy tomato sauce that it was difficult to even taste the toppings. We also ordered the Steak Frittes dinner, while the fries were very crispy and fresh, the steak left a lot to be desired. The meat was not sliced properly so it was very tough and overcooked, very rubbery and the Chimichurri sauce was very, very salty. We ordered the bread pudding for dessert and it was actually pretty good with fresh berries added. Our drink orders were ok but were simple, just beer and wine. The dining space itself was very open, sterile, and industrial feeling. It was not very welcoming for a Christmas dinner. The dining experience could have been a bit nicer if maybe some tablecloths were at each table, the hotel already has linen service so why not tablecloths to class the place up a bit? We realize it was a holiday and things may be operating on a skeleton crew but if advertising a special dinner for the holiday it would be prudent to deliver on what is advertised. We failed to get her name but our server was very sweet and attentive. The food was subpar but our server was doing her best. It wasn't her fault the poor quality of the meal. We observed other diners around us that also did not have favorable opinions of their food. The advertised prime rib Christmas dinner was very disappointing.

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Bernardino - Outdoor Patio

You hear the stories of San Bernardino (or in my case you didn't until your uber driver is taking…read moreyou to your hotel), but this area of town is known as a little hotel district. This doubletree is adjacent to a few local restaurants, as well as, a neighboring drive-thru only Starbucks and few major fast-food chains. There is a U-driveway that makes it easy for dropoff and a side gated parking lot that guests can use. I really appreciate the level of safety they implement at night for their guests as they are key-card only entries. The staff is pretty attentive if you do not have a key which obviously occurs at late-night check-in (which indeed happened to moi). DoubleTree San Bernardino features a little market, convention rooms, a large bar/family restaurant for folks staying. For Hilton Gold members they offer a daily F&B credit which is nice. I really enjoyed the open seating throughout the lobby where you can work or simply hang out. The hotel rooms are pretty standard, nothing crazy yet nothing horrific. Carpet isn't my personal favorite in a room but I always travel with flip flops for such scenarios. If you're able to, request a room in the nearby elevator which makes it that much easier to go up-and-down. All in all, a solid stay and they have a pool as well for the weather.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay. I paid for two nights expecting a clean,…read morenon-smoking environment, but the second night my room was completely filled with marijuana smoke. This made it impossible to relax or sleep, and I had no choice but to check out early. No guest should have to leave a hotel they paid for because the room is uninhabitable. What is even more concerning is that after looking at other reviews, I saw multiple guests reporting the same marijuana issue. This clearly shows it is an ongoing problem that management has not properly addressed. Although another room was offered, it was late at night and not reasonable to move, especially with my granddaughter. At that point, the damage to our stay was already done. A non-smoking hotel should enforce its policies and ensure guests are not exposed to smoke. I paid for a service that was not delivered. I am requesting a full refund for the night that was impacted, as well as the return of my deposit. This is the fair and reasonable resolution. If this is not handled appropriately, I will continue to escalate this matter and share my experience on multiple platforms.
