It really is sublime. There is a small seating area right opposite the counter which, in the colder months, has a log burning fire. There is a larger and very comfortable seating area in an upstairs lounge with mixed seating.sofas, armchairs, tables.another log burning fire which is regularly attended to. Sink into one of the cozy chairs and watch the traffic pass yet at the same time feeling, as if perhaps, you are somewhere else? An impressive array of homemade cakes etc., awaits your attention when you place your order which, even if you choose to take a seat in the upstairs lounge, will be brought to you by a member of the pleasant staff. For a light lunch you may try their delcious homemade soup with a roll? I would be happy to recommend this establishment to my female contacts as a place for the unaccompanied traveller to stop and rest a while in a spotlessly clean and safe environment. Most of the pictures in Gallery 3 are either originals or limited edition prints, with a good mix of different media - watercolour, oils etc. There are small alcoves that highlight a particular artist, where you can sit in a comfy seat and peruse some stunning paintings. Next to each artists group of paintings, was a photograph of them, with a piece about their life and inspirations, a nice idea. Art is very subjective, but for me the large oil paintings of a bustling Piccadilly Square and a Parisian street at night were the pick of the bunch. Obviously being mostly originals, the prices were high, but I genuinely thought some of the paintings were worth their price tag. You can even get a limited edition print by none-other than Mr Rolf Harris!

This is high end art run by a lady with a vaste pedigree in the Art World. Lady Isobel Throckmorton is a treasure, her knowledge and eye going back as far as her time as a wartime runner for Philip Green - one of the most esteemed London Galleries. Call ahead and you'll be treated to a feast for the eyes which is better than many a large London Gallery. Talk to Lady Throckmorton and she will open your eyes to a new World. Not to the faint of pocket but if you have money to spend, this is the place to go.

The main element of the business is that of art gallery and picture framing. The range of prints and original artwork available is outstanding. Where outside a big city will you find art by the likes of Todd White? you wouldn't expect to find it in Cleethorpes but yes, the limited edition (95 prints only) releases which are hand embellished by Todd White have been on sale here, albeit not for long because you can't get them for love nor money. Traditional watercolours to modern prints can be found here and prices that are surprisingly cheap - the Todd White pieces were only £700 each. If you need something framing then this is the place to go. Forget any of these bargain basement type places because they often don't have much of a clue. Mig (the owner) just has an eye for framing. He just knows exactly what will look best. When I need something framing I don't even bother thinking about what I want because I just leave it up to him and know the end result will be perfect. Finally upstairs of the gallery is an art studio which hosts lessons for all levels by famous watercolour artist Leslie Treacher.

Even more of a shame is that this potential has not been developed - the gallery is small and cramped, has few exhibits and those that there are are not that inspiring, which I find incomprehensible considering that the area has spawned such artistic talent. They do run various workshops and activities for children, which I have not attended and may be worth a visit, but personally, to see art in the area, I would recommend visiting the sculpture park in Bretton instead.
