Queens County Clerk's Office is one of the better county clerk I have encountered in my…read moreprofessional realm. In my adulthood I realized how imperative courts function to serve the public and I learn how to navigate the legal proceedings. Passports and other services are handled. My raison d'être is Commissioner of Deeds another re-appointment filing and payment, but in-person visit. The fee for filing the signature card is $10.00. I did not need an appointment for in-person re-appointment submission and payment. The Notary Department is located in room 106 next to the Cashier. Four stars, the clerk at the Notary Department window was inexperience who pawn to passed me to someone as an animated object who is more experienced to enter my blue signature card in the court system. I was instructed to go to the Cashier window for my filing fee payment followed by a subsequent instruction to return to the Notary Department window. What?? Why do I have to return to the Notary Department window again? I did received a minuscule sales receipt. Queens County Clerk's Office is a nice government building. It is ADA accessible by a ramp at the rear entrance through a parking lot on 88th Avenue at 148th Street between 89th Avenue. The steps are abundant, but I took my sweet time climbing high. Be prepared to enter through a metal detector for security (but not detailed like TSA airport style to remove shoes). The artwork for the greenish circle disc is somewhat appealing as it appeared very weathered with time and space from the elements. I highly admire the medium circle concrete stumps where each are inscribed locales names of Queens County: Ozone Park, Howard Beach, Richmond Hill, Cambria Heights, Sunnyside, Woodside, Astoria, Corona, Fresh Meadows, Long Island City, Briarwood, Ridgewood, Forest Hills, Rego Park, Woodhaven, Elmhurst, Bayside, Flushing, Hollis, Kew Gardens, Maspeth, Jamaica, The Rockaways. However, I think many other Queens locales or vicinities are missing: Hunters Point, Tudor Village, Glendale, Jackson Heights, College Point, Douglaston, Little Neck, Queensboro Hill, Jamaica Estates, Floral Park, Auburndale, Pomonok, Hillcrest, Glen Oaks, Whitestone, St. Albans, Laurelton, Queens Village, Rosedale, and Springfield Gardens, et al. These circular concrete stumps symbolism resonate Queens, New York City.

This trip to NYC was not a fun one. The office as many have noted is on the first floor just to the left of security. It was well staffed and clean. In addition the staff was super helpful and friendly which I really appreciated. I needed some of the documents notarized which they do right there and there was no line. They also do passports and other documents as well.

I've lived in Jersey City for the past 9 years. We have our issues yes but I absolutely cannot say…read moreenough good things about the people who work in city government here. Whether it's was the lovely Mary, who took my fingerprints for a federal background I needed to undergo. Being with her in her lovely office and connecting with her on life. Then we have the brilliant Rose at the City Planning office who literally saved me from a nervous breakdown I was having while trying to sell my house. She told me that 2026 was the year of no stress and to just breathe. And she didn't say it in patronizing way!! It was pure compassion and a desire to help. She told me all people are not the same and shouldn't be treated as such. You're a genius Rose, thank you! Morgan, from the historic preservation office, is also a bright shining star, keeping this city thriving in the best possible way. Smart and savvy and on the side of the people the way things should be is the way Morgan rolls! The crossing guard at Bergen and Mercer, the police who know all of our faces and wave to us daily! I could go on and on. Thank you Jersey City. If the people who are running you ran our country on a federal level, wow, can you only imagine how happy we would all be?! Viva la JC government peoples!!! xo Kristen

Baller shot caller see me on the N4 playing I don't know…read moreya. I'm a fan of Rockville Centre, big fan, huge. MY N4 bus passes through here on Merrick road which runs parallel to Sunrise highway. It's about two villages away from where I stay and I'm almost certain it's where it all goes down! With pubs, restaurants, lounges, fashion, grocery stores and coffee house on almost every square inch of every block you're sure to find what you need here in the RVC as it's fondly called. Hey it's a busy "village" with a LIT nightlife. Want more info? Check out IG and snapshot on a Friday evening. (Just wrote this review 6/Aug/2017 while passing through on the N4 bus, how sway) The End

Hello Yelp Family, Welcome to RVC (or) Rockville Centre, Long Island, NY. When folks across the…read moreworld think of Long Island, they picture Montauk Point's Beaches and movie stars, rural farmlands dotted with horses, apple orchards, roadside Farm stands, home-baked pies and fields painted orange by thousands of pumpkins. Well, folks that is NOT Rockville Centre. RVC is a large Metropolis, alive with business and commerce. But this Big Town has a small community feel. Many large companies have made their homes in Rockville Centre. The thousands of folk who work here need some good food and great places to relax. Rockville Centre has been exceptional at filling the dining and entertainment niche, there are just so many great places to enjoy and bring your family. Many small towns on Long Island just have one or two main streets that restaurants and nightlife will be situated. RVC is a paradise of night life and restaurants, with not just one Avenue but a myriad streets, where dozens of Night Clubs, Restaurants and Bars are alive and rocking. Some of my favorite places in Rockville Centre are Tum Thai, Frank's Steaks, Thai table, Foo Asian Bistro, Cabo. My list could go on for pages. I'm on a tear now discovering RVC. I'll be posting pictures and reviewing the neighborhoods venues. You'll see me in RVC. JIM D.
