They have a cute statue with steps in the middle of it, and it has a boy and girl - I'm not really sure what they're doing but she's being really bitchy. It adds nice greenery to the center of Brooklyn close to where all the cops are and what not. It's technically in the Brooklyn Heights neighbourhood, and definitely add some character to this amazing part of the city.

Instead of looking at the horrible construction sites they have a partnership with ArtBridge New York. They incorporated canvas with artist work to hang around the construction sites. It's wonderful to see and much better than looking at the wood and billboard posters for months while construction is completed. You can visit their website to see the many projects and find the locations. I'm a huge fan. This department serves non-profit cultural organizations involved in the visual, literary and performing arts; public-oriented science and humanities institutions including zoos, botanical gardens and historic and preservation societies; and the creative artists who live and work within the City's five boroughs. I've used…read morethis highway for travel trips to PA and back, the first being in 2009, 2012, 2017, 2021, 2022, and 2023. In recent times traveling, there has been some construction going on between exits 35 and 45 in PA (mile posted numbers) for the last two years traveled, and very little progress is being made. Thankfully, I never had to come to a full stop. It seems there widening the shoulder. Hopefully some year it will be fully completed. Haven't traveled the full length, but the western terminus is at I-81 in Bordnersville. In NJ, the road looks in pretty good shape, despite some traffic due to accidents and even congestion at exits. I can't speak for everything since I've only traveled as far as I-287, but continuing east will end up in Newark, and ending in NYC. The scenery is pretty decent for the most part on the whole length, except Allentown, Newark, and NYC have their scenery of the city and buildings.

Ahh I-78. We go a long way back for our transportation needs. This freeway (minus 1 toll in PA)…read moreextends from the I-81 interchange in PA to the I-95 interchange in NJ. At the I-95 interchange, the freeway turns into the NJ Turnpike Extension, which brings drivers to Jersey City and the Holland Tunnel in downtown NYC. A ticket must be collected at the interchange, and a toll must be paid for at the Holland Tunnel entrance/Jersey City intersection. This freeway also serves those who need to go on NJ-24 in Union and I-287, US-202 & US-206 in Bridgewater. Most of the field trips in grade school required the utilization of this freeway, whether it was Eastbound or Westbound. The same applied for when I was involved with the sports filming assignments in 12th grade. Believe it or not, we did travel the entire stretch of I-78, but in certain segments which was based on our needs. So where did we go? We drove towards the I-81 interchange in PA when we had to go visit some caves. We drove through Holland Tunnel for a sightseeing experience in downtown NYC. Other times, we would utilize this freeway if we have to catch cruises in Bayonne or NYC, or drive up to the Woodbury Premium Outlets. Of course, I would also utilize this freeway if I'm driving to and/or from Zinburger and the GYEs in Morris County. Speaking of which... My recent experience involved driving on this in favor of a GYE in Morristown. Driving up to the NJ-24 entrance was flawless. But keep in mind that you can only enter that other freeway from the LOCAL lanes Eastbound, NOT Express. If you keep driving on Express, you will miss it. Coming back, I noticed one wild driver swerving in and out of lanes at high speed. That's hazardous. Also, the stretch of I-78 in Watching isn't lit up at all, except at exits. When driving this stretch at night, you need to be careful. Traffic jams sometimes occur in the Newark and Hillside stretches, but I'm used to that. Of course if an accident occurs, then that's a bigger issue. With my extensive history of mostly positive experiences, I'd say I'm a fan. Buckle up and drive away.

John Jay Byrne, that is…read more This bridge connects Queens and Brooklyn to the tune of Greenspoint and Long Island City 0 which is a great thing, because they're parts of town I come to a lot. I use it on a very regular basis, and I remember the nice views but obstructed by fencing that's on both sides of the road. It doesn't feel like very much like going between boroughs, and the transition is not that big of a deal on this road. It's good and not that many people use it really.

Small bridge that connects Queens and Brooklyn via Long Island City and Greenpoint. There are bike…read morelanes and pedestrian lanes that go over this bridge. They are on both sides as well which is nice. When your crossing from Queens to Brooklyn, it narrows down to one lane as your crossing over the middle. Coming back the other way there are two lanes. The bridge is over Newton Creek I think is the name of that river. I've never seen it used but it is a drawbridge. You can see the mechanical arms that stop traffic on sides as your driving over.

I always look up when I am walking in the city. There are different angles, perspectives and…read moreamazing architecture to be seen. This time, we had to go underground to look up. Descending through the heavy metal gate and down old stairs... Touching dust of the past on handrails... And stopping on my tracks as I enter the round rotunda. The Jewel in the Crown! Is this how TimeRiders felt when they stepped back in time? There is no darkness in this underground - golden sunshine passes through the intricate patterns of rosette skylight, dancing in the reflections of ceramic tiles and soaking into my skin. I cannot move, mesmerized by the beauty of lights. It is truly a jewel. Train enters the station, it's a 6, turning around. Station is small, and wheels screech as it makes full turn. Present passing through the past. I look around at those arches, and remains of skylights, listen to the echo of my own voice reflecting back to me - and I see the crowds of the past in this same station in my mind eye, walking this same stairs, sometimes not really noticing the beauty that surrounds. Stop, look up. And remember those moments. Mine are all here, on camera, ready to be rewound.
