Also, the administration does a great job at communicating with parent, whether it be staff changes, safety notices, and simple requests. As a parent who sent their child to this daycare since he was four months old (Turning four in…read moreNovember ) I am deeply disappointed and hurt by this institution. so much that it has taken me some time to write this review since the incident occurred a few months ago. As an essential worker I directly work with doctors and nurses fixing technical issues that could impact patient care and safety. It is imperative that I am able to work especially during this global pandemic. In the Month of August 2020, I signed an agreement with the previous Director catie woods to work on my son who at 3 old years old had picked up a bad word. At home I worked with my son he never said the word after the first few times I heard it. At Giggle Gang they called me almost every other day to pick my son up because they claimed he was saying this word. I honestly do not believe this to be true, Neither does my sons father. Outside of this daycare no child or adult has heard my son say this word. Both the father and I tried working with the Directors and Staff. I came in for an hour and watched my son on the cameras he never said it. I never saw him do anything that would not be considered normal behavior for a 3 year old. After about three weeks I was called on Monday to pick up my son because they claimed he said it again. The Next day at 6:30 a.m. I knocked on the door and a staff member looked confused and said "Didn't Catie Call you?" At this point two staff members came outside and informed me my son was kicked out of the daycare. I was completely blindsided not understanding holding my son confused. Like any parent would be. One of the staff members became aggressive and confrontational. Mind you I'm holding my baby in my arms hurt devastated and humiliated. that this Christian daycare would treat a single mother and her child in this manner. That morning I had to explain to my Health Care Organization that I had to leave the company because I did not have child care . As a Christian myself god was in my corner, my company could not afford to lose an employee during this global pandemic. I was given time to find child care. The Director at the time Catie Woods did not show any type of empathy for my situation. I even asked why they would not give me time to locate another child care provider when the parent hand book stated giggle gang daycare would provide two weeks. I then requested to speak with her boss Dani Lynn Black who runs the Howell Location. She acknowledged that the hand book does state that giggle gang will provide two weeks to parents to locate other child care. Christian thing to do right? Dani Lynn stated this did not apply to my son. Even though I signed the parent handbook contract agreeing to the handbook just as well as Giggle Gang. As I said GOD‼ is good‼ within that week I located child care. My son has not said the bad word at this new daycare. I can tell my son loves this place. In just two month at this daycare he has never had an incident that involved this word. I finally hear positive things about my child The New Daycare he attends is Christian as well. The Director/owner is there every day and has been for twenty years, Unlike Giggle Gang. For three and a half years it's been a revolving door with Directors, four to five to be exact since my son started in 2017. Back in June After the Stay At Home Order was Lifted it was the first time meeting the new director Catie Wood it is now November 1st and she no longer works there This should say alot ‍ If you made it this far in my review of Giggle Gang DayCare and preschool. Which resides inside of Life Christians Church I want you to keep LOOKING. There are more professional child care providers in the area‼ Who actually honors there Mission Statement. NO‼ Other family should ever be treated this way. After 3 and a half years myself and my son deserved at least a phone call from the Director at the time Catie woods. When I informed her boss Danny Lynn Black over at the Howell location. She said you got an email and we will make sure to call other parents in the future when they decide to unenroll a child. I plan to post this to every platform that I have access to. To share my unbelievable experience with this so called Christian Child Care Center. As a Christian I will not compromise my Christianity by wishing any ill will but I want to hold them accountable and to make sure Other Moms like me who depend on these daycares to think twice about Giggle Gang DayCare and Preschools. She then proceeded to tell me that they had been having an issue with skunks in the area (this is the honest truth.) When the instructors did not show up I assumed my account was credited- it was not and I had to ask for a refund. The only time I was refunded was on one occasion. I gave up having to deal with the management at that point. On a weekly basis I noticed not only my child's classroom but other classrooms were out of the teacher/child ratio. Many times I would see one teacher to at least eight children. The parents were asked to fill out a survey and turn it into the management. I mentioned these issues in the survey but yet never heard a word about the results of the survey. I cannot believe Child Time did not hire an outside company to handle this- if in fact they wanted to know the issues going on in the center. Thankfully our child ended up in a classroom with a wonderful teacher Ms. Liz. She was very caring and extremely qualified to handle the children. If our child was not in her classroom we would have left much earlier. During the pickup of our child I had observed some teachers speaking to children in a very uncaring and unprofessional manner. On the positive side of things- they use an App to provide you with real time updates and pictures. The App allows you to communicate directly with the teacher. The food was nutritional. They keep an open communication line between the parents, teachers, and themselves; making it easy to feel confident and comfortable with leaving our little boy in their care. We had to…read morepull our children from Gateway last year due to lack of communication, parent involvement and most damaging, the amount of trauma and shame my older child would come home with. I know there's always going to be "bad" reviews for every daycare you research, but please reconsider this place if you have a highly-sensitive, strong-willed or neurodivergent child. You will receive incident reports everyday for things like your child saying "poop," running in the halls or being loud. Even if the incidents are more serious, the only communication you will have is a shameful note and no chance to repair or work on what's going on. My husband and I would have to practically beg for a meeting or a chance to talk with the director. We were never allowed to talk with my child's direct teachers. There is no sense of teamwork to help your child succeed. Now that my child is older and thriving in Kindergarten he is finally opening up about Gateway and what it was like. His stories make me want to cry. He would cry everyday going to Gateway and I tried my best to keep a positive mindset, but knew there was something more to his behavior. Now, he wakes up and enjoys going to school. There are some wonderful teachers there, but they're stuck under the hard-pressed thumb of management. My only regret is not pulling my children sooner.
