    Two days ago we opened a new account with Prosperity Bank in Corsicana, Texas. On the same day we…read moreregistered (or whatever they are calling it) to be able to use online banking. Vanessa Guido responded to our registration almost immediately. Two days later we attempted to set up online banking. The lady who helped us open our account, Vanessa Guido, was very helpful and friendly. Upon receiving our call concerning our attempts to set up online banking, she very helpful. Even with her help we had trouble getting the online banking to work. So, she transferred us to an associate whose name began with an "M". I think the name was Marla or Marna. M's first conversation with us indicated that we were doing something wrong. According to what M said and what Ms. Guido told us, we did exactly as we were told. So, the solution, we drive 30 minutes to the bank and bring our computer. Apparently, no one thought we knew what do to with a computer! When we arrived at the bank, Ms. Guido was friendly and helpful. As soon as we had our computer connected to her "hotspot" on her phone, she gave us the information we needed to connect to the online banking system. We immediately knew what the problem was. When telling us the letters that we needed to type into the ID position, we were given only the letters. One of the letters sounded differently on the phone than it did in person. This was actually the problem. If the letters had been given to us as "words" instead of just letters, we would have noticed the problem immediately! Once we figured this out, we returned to our home to continue setting up the online services. This involved another 30 minute drive. Still, in order to complete the process we had to call the bank once again. And, once again, we were connected with "M" who immediately proceeded to tell us that we had made a mistake and if we would just have listened to her, we would not have had a problem. She stated that we didn't listen to what she was telling us. So, in ending this review, I can only say that apparently, if you are old or not as "competent" as the personnel of the bank want you to be, you, the customer, are always wrong! I find their wait recording to be a little bit on the untruthful side. Other than Ms. Guido, the personnel that we dealt with were not friendly and did not seem to appreciate our business. For now, we will leave the bank account as it is, but if further problems continue, we may have to consider other alternatives. My suggestion is to be careful in your dealings with this bank's personnel. Some of them think you are not as smart as they are!
