About 1.5 years ago, I chose Dr. Erkam Caymaz to have a hair transplant. He's a really good surgeon. I am very satisfied with my results. Istanbul experience: Day 1) Mr.Emir greeted me at the Airport after I landed in Istanbul by plane. He left it at my hotel. Nice 5 star hotel. Day 2) At 8 in the morning, Emir picked me up from the hotel. I was so excited. After I arrived at the hospital in the morning, my medical history was taken. Doctor Caymaz made my first examination. While drawing my hairline, my blood tests were taken simultaneously. The operation started with hair harvest. Approximately 5900 grafts of hair were harvested. Dr. Caymaz had started the process to open my hair channels. He opened it one by one with a sapphire blade. I really don't know how he opened up so many channels and how he fit it. But this is his surgical experience. The operation lasted 13 hours. I tried to sleep in the hotel the night of the operation, but it is really difficult. Trying to sleep while sitting is difficult. Day 3) I continued to rest at the hotel. I was able to rest tonight. Day 4) Mr.Emir took me to the hospital for the first washing and control. Dr. Caymaz and his assistant performed the hair washing and had done the first checks. He discharged me saying that there was no problem and I would be happy. They had taken it straight from the hospital to the airport. It is such a fast experience that you do not understand that you are in Istanbul. But I want to come to this city once again with my hair. The best advice I can give you is that you can stay for 4 nights, not 3 nights. At least, you can travel after the first wash. As a result, I would like to thank Dr. Erkam Caymaz and his new clinic, Hair Upload Clinic. And I recommend it to all my friends. I was given two plans and what the expected cost would be . When I arrived at Turkeyana their advanced technology sl and wonder Drs said I had stronger gums and bone structure. I was given two plans new plan that was actually less expensive than i was quoted . I have some issues with low blood iron . It took a little longer for my gums to clot . The team was super concerned and supportive of me . They were more concerned than I was . I genuinely felt like I had family members taking care of me . Mo Noah and Aidan's have amazing skills in English and were there to translate for me in terms I could understand for every step. I'm an American writing this and I wish someone had told me what I'm about to say…read more I came to this clinic hoping for a clean, natural hairline and a good experience. Instead, my front hairline ended up PATCHY, uneven, and nothing like the plan we discussed. On top of that, the donor area they pulled from now has a clear missing patch. It's scarred and thin where my hair was thick before. So now I'm dealing with issues in the front and the back I'm not someone who leaves harsh reviews. I reached out to them kindly, sent clear photos, and really hoped they would handle this the right way. Instead, they made me wait eight days just to tell me to buy a derma roller and book another paid procedure. No real solution, no ownership, just an upsell. Now I have to pay another clinic to fix all of this, which is frustrating and expensive. This should have been done right the first time. If you're considering coming here, I'd honestly look somewhere else. There are clinics that give real post-op support and know how to fix things when issues come up. This was not that experience for me. Attaching pictures so you can see what I'm talking about. I hope this saves somebody the headache I'm dealing with now.

I looked into getting a similar Hollywood Hair transplant in the USA, but the quotes were over $40,000! Bosley wanted $25,000 for a mid tier one. I knew the hub of hair transplant was Istanbul and the best surgeon will be there. After investigating, I was able to get testimonies from multiple French gentlemen who went to see Doctor Arslan and had outstanding results. The communication with Asma prior the surgery was very reassuring. She emailed me the whole procedure and I was able to ask all the questions that crossed my mind. She was very knowledgeable and quick to respond. On the day of the surgery Doctor Arslan and his team were very friendly and I felt immediately reassured in this warm and professional environment. Dc Arslan ans I drew, together my new hair line and I was thrilled to be in the hands of someone with such a good eye and who has great taste when it comes to aesthetic, proportion and most importantly the most natural and dense result. Dr Musbeh and his staff were friendly and comforting; I felt that I was in good hands the entire time and felt their office provided outstandingly diligent care. It is a tedious, long operation for those involved but they made me very comfortable. Coming from the US, I enjoyed my time in Istanbul. Beyoglu is a busier part of town but it also caters to tourists well; if you are comfortable branching out there are more peaceful neighborhoods to recover should you wish to stay in Istanbul for a bit. I previously consulted practices in the US and I have no regrets about traveling to Turkey. It's been a few years since the operation, going from almost bald to what looks like a full head of hair, and I'm completely happy with it. It's not obvious at all that work was done - a lot of my oldest friends have forgotten because it just looks natural. Don't expect to have hair like you did in high school, be realistic, and you'll be happy with the results. Dr Musbeh and his team can do great work.
