Luckily, we went back in March and the weather and crowds were perfect! After walking Colmar for a few hours, it was time to eat! La Romantica is in a nice square with a few other restaurants and on a Monday afternoon, this place was jumping. We got sat outside which was perfect as there was a little stream next to us and we got to people watch. One daughter had a pizza which was tasty, light and thin crust, and the crust went well with olive oil and balsamic. The other had carbonara equally tasty! The missus had some mushroom stuffed ravioli. The picture doesn't do it justice as it's not photogenic but it was incredibly tasty! I had some version of cordon bleu at the recommendation of our awesome server and I destroyed it! As we got ready to leave, it was bathroom time so we went inside. Bathrooms are upstairs and oddly I found it cool to see what looked like incredibly old stairs. Never thought a trip to the bathroom would be cool but the stairs were worn in the middle and made me think of how many people might've walked these stairs. When you're visiting Colmar, stop by Ristorante La Romantica for some deliciousness!

Stopped in here on a rainy, cold spring day. Nope..you get spaghetti...had a glass of wine with it. I ordered the burger, Italian style w/ frites. The burger was served on a gigantic rock solid bun, with enough greens to feed a small of rabbits and some gloppy mayo ( maybe) based runny sauce. Had to bail on the bun as it was disintegrating before my eyes into mound of bread crumbs. Ended up just eating the meat. Frites were decent but when I asked for ketchup I was resented with a container of packets each of which were good for 2 frites each. Not my fave way to eat frites so I gave up. Service was ok but a bit spotty especially since the place was not crowded. End of story...mediocre at best.
