Even things like flossing were approached with zero judgment. They offered practical alternatives and acknowledged that some routines are harder to maintain depending on executive function, physical access, or sensory tolerance. I didn't have to mask or over-explain myself just to be treated like a person. If you've avoided going to the dentist because past experiences were shaming, overwhelming, or just not neurodivergent-friendly, Piper is the first place I've been where I didn't leave feeling worse. They were extremely aware of the sensitivity of my tooth and I felt very little discomfort for the entire appointment. They took x-rays, evaluated the issue, made some immediate adjustments and I was on my way. After the appointment (same day!) they followed up to see how I was feeling. I would never recommend anyone to come here based on my experience with Dr. Seelye. I had some fillings done I think sometime in July or august 2019, and he overfilled them and they were excruciating when the numbing medication wore off, something I've never experience before. I had all of the fillings done on the left side of my mouth. I go in a couple days later complaining about how bad it hurts and that I couldn't bite on that side at all. The Dr comes out and makes me feel like I'm ruining HIS day just for needing this adjusted. He gets his work done filing them down then asks if I still feel pain, I said yes, a lot. His answer was "well my fillings are clearing your bite so the problem is not my fillings". Which, mind you, I did not have ANY issues whatsoever before getting them filled. So yeah, they are the problem. That was the last time I have/will visit this office. My mouth hurt very bad for about 3 more weeks after the second visit, and I couldn't really bite hard things (think trail mix) on the left side of my mouth for over 9 months afterwords, and even now it still feels a little... off.
