This is from a 6-grader:…read more okay.. the school education sytem is terrible. instead of having an actual book where you can look and find examples on how to solve ur homework equasion you are given so many OneNote pages on homework ( OneNote is a platform for education and is the worst trust me.) the walls look like they havent been cleaned since the bulding was build. there are alot of bad drawings and swear words on there too. ALSO THE SECURITY AND SAFETY DOES NOT EVEN EXIST. THE GATE IS OPEN AT NIGHT. LIKE BRO WHAT?!. Highschoolers and kids eat lunch in the bathroom ( oh my god this isnt real.) and my friends say one of the highschool girls brought a hair curler in the bathroom or whatever its called and started curling her hair. they probably do their makeup routine there so be ready! i still cant express the safety system and the project based learning system. the teachers will not care about you at all. my PE experience was terrible kids were almost passing out there and the coach didnt care. also there is alot of violence in the school and u will get yelled at alot. ALSO ALOT OF BULLYING AND YELLING and the teachers will not care if students start getting on top of desks and swear at them. ( YES STUDENTS SWEAR AT THE TEACHERS NOW. ) (this is all coming from a student that went to this school for 3-4 months) . please dont go here. like at 3am someone can easily just go in the school because the gate is open 24/7 like its a gas station, and just start breaking windows, and stealing everything and the next day? you guessed it. looks like a tornado that just ran over the school campus. also Wedsdays are torture. like ik the school day is always shorter but its so BORING like omg. also if ur kid goes here for just 1 month they probably will be yelling, and swearing to you bc the teachers literally allow it. SO I BEG YOU DONT GO HERE! NOT SAFE AT ALL!!!!!!!!!

The…read morestaff treats you like shit if you're "normal" and will not care if you report actual problems when they come up. This school allows kids to fuck around and will never solve distractions in learning. Most special kids get NO discipline and you will get hit, kicked, and screamed at with nothing to do about it. The way they handle kids in trouble is so unhealthy, you will not learn here, especially if you're in the middle school. Coming from an actual student who's been assaulted with a kids computer countless times; DONT GO TO THIS SCHOOL! Staff is near incompetent, will not update attendance properly and bombard your parents for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. For your safety and education, don't come here. Pick any other school please.

They proudly fly the LGBTQ+ flag and the school has numerous LGBTQ+ posters and reminders around the school to encourage the children to be pro-LGBTQ. Amazing environment, learning opportunities, and fantastic teachers. It would have been perfect,…read moreaside from the fact that a certain student by the name of Gerald went there as well. Ruined everything. I thought this would finally be the place for my special children, as we've been going from school to school for years now. And at first, it seemed like it. However, my child (7) got into an altercation with an older boy at the time, named Gerald, who was aged 12 at the time. While I do not wish to go into details, there was almost legal trouble involved as Grady wished to pursue legal action, threatening to sue on counts of battery and defamation (which he brought upon himself). Luckily, a bystander recorded the incident and uploaded it to the online platform TikTok, which gained significant traction, causing the video to go viral. Gerald was forced to change his name (to Grady Moore, I believe) in a feeble attempt to hide from public scrutiny. I mean come on, getting beat up by a 7-year-old half your size is pretty humiliating. Anyways, my child went on to continue his education here at OWS until 6th grade (we had to move), where he subsequently started attending the local middle school. All in all, the teachers are very competent and terrific, but some of the student body is troubled, to say the least.

The teachers showed a…read morehigh level of concern for the education & over all welfare of the students and were wiling to help students as best they could to achieve. I felt safe at this school as well as accepted as a peer among others. As an advocate for student safety and comfort I am glad to say that I never experienced any bullying nor did I observe anybody being bullied at this school. Overall, I enjoyed my time & experiences at this school.

Favored the more popular students in the school/turned blind eyes to students who were part of sports or the class leaders. The teachers were good but it's overshadowed by the administration being terrible I was kicked out of my house going into my senior year, in which the school didn't help whatsoever even though they knew the situation (I get it's not the schools job to help, but they actively attempted to get me out of the school) and rather then let me talk to my counselor admins changed the counselor that I had because they felt she was too biased towards me. Not only that, but even my brother who was only a sophomore at the time had to drop out because he ended up getting addicted to drugs and would be using them with piers in the bathroom Which dropping out was an insane struggle as well, because we didn't want our education to end we just didn't want it at Interlake High School!! Both my brother and I decided to switch to online school (did this like 6 months apart) both him and I dealt with the school not answering for weeks about the program I was supposed to be joining. I sent 6 emails to them and got no response, so I had to go in and meet with counselors and admin j to get transcripts from my school. My brother though they just left him on his own, my mom would email but never a reply

The communication at…read morethis school was really bad, many people got in trouble for the most dumbest things, all because they never explained what the rules were at that school. They were also very protective when it came to the students and their social media outside of school. In their guidebook, it stated that if a student posts anything that doesn't represent the Spiritual culture, then the student will earn either detention or suspension. Very not necessary... The atmosphere of the other students there is also very toxic. There was bullying happening, inappropriate photos of women being spread, and lots of people talking badly about one another. And the staff or principal did nothing to help or fix it. I would not recommend this school at all.

And teachers don't really give the time that students need on tests. And every student is different in their own way with their own preferences. One teacher would give only 50% when students don't finish their test by the time. Also, all kids in the same grade have to take the same level of bible class. In the bible class the bible that the school offered me has words that are too small. Sometimes I couldn't even understand the words. So therefore: This school should give kids hard copy test if they need it and the time they need.
