What I found was an incredible set of tools and methods to be more effective in my every-day life. By understanding and focusing on what is most important to me, I have been able to combine my passion for technology with my love of working with people in a tech management role at an early-stage startup. I have since taken a variety of other courses from Context and each one has been incredibly valuable, helping me understand what motivates me, the experiences I want in life, and the legacy I want to leave behind. I would highly recommend these courses to anyone who wants more out of life.

I'd say that my experience in college was pretty typical - world of possibilities and a lot of confusion on what road to take. Through the tools and exercises in the courses, I gained a lot of clarity on what I wanted in both my professional and personal life. Having that clarity was awesome, but what really sealed the deal for me was that the courses were structured to help me achieve my goals and sustain lasting results. The most recent course I've taken is Presentation Dynamics and I would highly recommend that course to anyone. The instructor, Jim Sorensen, is an incredible public speaker and teacher. He takes a very unique approach to teaching public speaking that is extremely effective for all personality types. If you are a professional looking to get a taste of what Context has to offer, this is the course to take! Amazing!

It has been a life-changing experience for me as well as many others who attend regularly. The teachers are an outstanding group of people who are committed to learning by participating. There are no lectures; there are group discussions on a wide variety of topics from current events to literature, to exercise for health, to the arts in many forms. Every class presents an opportunity to expand your mind and/or body that creates a vibrancy in later life that stimulates learning that may not be otherwise possible due to physical constraints that is a normal part of the aging process. If you are a senior, it is worth your time to come to LLC and leave you ailments and apathy behind and permit your mind to return to the joy of learning.

It's a 38 year old non-profit educational institution that offers reasonably priced college level classes for adults of all ages. Over 25 of these non-credit classes are offered per quarter and include such subjects as literature, opera appreciation, history, watercolor, cinema, movement, writing, poetry, bridge and much more. New and different classes are offered every quarter and they're taught by a great faculty who all volunteer their time. There are often nearly 300 students enrolled per quarter. And the cost? It's amazingly inexpensive--the tuition for an 8 week course is typically just $30. This place is unique and is often referred to as one of Seattle's best kept secrets. I can see why. It's a very friendly place too. They hold Open Houses at the beginning of every quarter so that people can meet the instructors and hear brief summaries about upcoming classes. In March 2013 Lifetime Learning is moving to new facilities at 3841 NE 123rd St. in Lake City. (It was formerly located in a school near Green Lake for several years and before that in a Sand Point area school for many years.)

None of that re-enrolling after 10 weeks (or however long other swim programs are) and writing down 3 time slot choices (hoping to get your #1 choice). - group session is maximum of 3 swimmers! - consistent teachers. My daughter had teacher John for almost 2 years before seeing a different teacher. - program director is very receptive of comments. Example: one new teacher talked a lot in the beginning to the point the kids were no longer listening. Explained the situation to the program director and the following week, there was improvement. Short instructions, kids listened well, and ample swim time. My daughter would've stayed with Orca if it weren't for the fact that she wanted to join a swim team and needed that next-level program to improve her endurance and skill set. I always recommend first time swimmers to check out Orca.

Orca's unique approach to swimming truly is a miracle. I just completed the 8 class beginner course in the Bothell pool. I am so glad I did. Truly enlightening.

An instructor I had heard great things about was teaching in Seattle, so I decided to retake there. The Seattle center is a warm, friendly place, with the usual endless coffee, lunch, and snacks. The classroom has the modern technology that you need as a trader. Everything about this trip was great, other than the clouds constantly obscuring the mountains.... I have been trading for about a year now using OTA's strategies, and they really do work. To succeed, you need a good trading plan, and weeks or months of practice. The cost of OTA classes seems high to some people, but you are really paying for the equivalent of a college degree in a new career. Some people end up trading full-time, which really means 10-20 hours a week, or just doing this to improve their portfolio performance. Like any other career, what you achieve is a reflection of what you invest. I'm very glad I decided to hook up with OTA when I did. It has changed my life.

The class was very well prepared by their dedicated Student Support Specialist, Franklin. I have instructed well over 100 classes in this course, and the students in this class were very motivated to learn, and some of the friendliest people, just like all Seattle classes... E-mails were sent before the start of class to lead students through the pre-class preparations, and it showed once class began. Everyone in this center puts the students needs first and foremost, and it shows. The students realize that there is a lot of hard work involved in learning the mechanics of the markets and that to truly be successful in the financial markets Risk Management needs to be at the top of the priority list. The company could be named "The Online Risk Management and Probability Academy" because that's what is taught in great detail from the very first hour of class. A good example of the focus on student learning is the commitment of the owner. After some internet and computer challenges during class, the center has committed to repairing the network and purchasing new computers for student use! How awesome is this? The campus is located in a quiet professional complex, with a stream and wildlife on all side for peaceful walks during lunch..... which they provide every day! Seattle is an awesome center and will soon have the best IT and computer resources in the business! You couldn't pick a better location to learn in, or teach in... Both classes were fun, informative, and affordable. I learned so much and my love for painting with watercolors grew with each class. The North Seattle College campus is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. The buildings aren't labeled in the best way, but it's a small campus, so take time to walk around before your first class and you will figure it out. The campus is clean and the classrooms were comfortable. I like all the art work there around campus and the supportive signage inside the buildings. Even though the architecture is Brutalist, I find that there is a warmth there. I look forward to taking more classes at North Seattle College in the future.

It is a CHRISTIAN school that submits to Jesus and does not conform. Now not one person on this planet is perfect and we should make room for each other's mistakes and that is biblical and we have all made our share of grievances Lord knows I have but all in all this school really does have the heart of God written into its DNA and I highly recommend if you are looking for your education to have a firm unshakable foundation.

Very much a dictatorship in a lot of ways, the athletic director is also the men's soccer coach and…read moredismissed me from the team because he simply didn't like me not because of my skill level. At one point he whispered in my ear "You could've told me to Fuck off with the offer I gave you". After he kicked me off the team, he told me the only way for you to be on the team is as a film analyzer, I would watch games and give information. Probably the most disrespectful thing someone could ask a serious athlete. The problem at NU is that as a Christian school there is no form of accountability with staff. There is a thought that a Christian isn't capable of atrocities, but as we have seen time and time again on the news. Disguising themselves with the religion to still have ill intentions and be overcome by human nature like Gary McIntosh. The most devoted Christians are sometimes the biggest devils; pride is the devil. I have brought this to the president's attention, and I was told by Dr. Castleberry that my accusations weren't credible and told me to rather place the blame on myself. The men's program hasn't had a successful year in all the time Gary has been there, no accountability. A former teammate told me that Gary spoke about not caring about winning. NAIA is a competitive league with many players seeking to become professional, do not go to NU if you want to have an athletic career. Gary allowed my teammates to tell me to "go fuck yourself" and even when they said it directly in front of him, Gary took action once by sitting him out for about 5 minutes. Coach Titus was also a witness to many of these harassments during spring season and regular season. I openly expressed to Gary my thoughts on the season prior and how I wanted to Transfer to a different program, I don't think my honesty sat well with him. While he was giving me phone calls praising how I was doing with the team, he suddenly in the middle of practice got into my face and yelled "GET OFF OF MY FIELD" after I hadn't moved into a certain position. Before he yelled, I told him " I thought I was in a good position" does that warrant punishment for Gary to turn orange like a red peach and yell while water falls of saliva come out of his mouth? Ultimately that was my last practice as I waited three weeks in "Probation" for him to come up with an answer whether I would remain on the team or not. In those three weeks the men's soccer team were throwing house parties while I sat depressed in my room just wanting to play. Days before the dropout deadline Gary wasn't responding to me, I had to get Vice President Rick involved. Well, I didn't drop out in time, so I am also 7,000 dollars in debt, debt that was sent to collections. I tried appealing this even when I have emails proving my intent to drop out before Sept. 28th and proving Gary was not in cahoots' with me. Vice-president Rick and President Castleberry denied my request without any investigation. After all I experienced with NU, I still followed the men's and women's team. Never missing a home game for either team, or even traveling to Oregon on my own to support the women's team during their playoff run. Rick was also in attendance at every home game; he never approached me after everything that had happened. I was an outcast at a Christian school, let that sink in. NU did get me closer to God, but not in the way I expected.
