Came here for drinks with a group of friends on a Saturday night to get our pregame started. Each of the cocktails are delicious and come in wildly unique containers (see photos). Some of them come with a bit of surprise. The service and the ambience at Bellboy bar is just as top tier as the cocktails. The lighting is dim, the music is good, and the decor is elegant. They are also known for fine dining, but we did not get a chance to sample their food this time around. Will definitely be returning for more the next time I'm in Berlin. read more

This cocktail bar is next to Hilton Berlin. It's not a bar affiliated with Hilton but they do rent the property from them. Opens up 6pm and late into the evening. Expect a speakeasy vibe with lively music. Fun drinks that come in unique glasses. They also sell the glasses. The menu offered light bites, dessert, and mocktails too. Service can be a little spotty at times when it's busy. They have seating for small and large groups. The restrooms are quite fancy too! There was a disco ball inside. Lol overall trendy vibe and good drinks. ** Be sure to check you have everything before you leave because they aren't very responsive if you forgot something. Closed on Mondays as well. Unfortunately they don't give the Hilton access either. read more

Bellboy Bar was such an unexpected surprise in Berlin, definitely one of my most memorable nights in the city. The night started on a little bit of a weird foot, and I want people to have this in mind, especially tourists, when visiting. We entered as a group of 10, coming here because it was close to our restaurant and had good reviews. The hosts seemed a bit confused when we came in, quickly telling us that they weren't sure they could let us in because there was a "dress code". Some of us were wearing raincoats because it had just rained, so we took them off, but we weren't wearing anything else out of the ordinary (once we entered, there were people in jeans and t-shirts, so we figured there wasn't actually a dress code). Then after that, they tried telling us that there was a 60 Euro minimum for our group of our size, to which we said that was too much and that we would leave. After hearing that, they told us that they would "talk to a manager and see if they could make an exception". They did eventually let us in, but we definitely had to stand our ground which was probably the most uncomfortable part of the experience. The rest however, was incredible. Once we walked in, the server came up to us and was very kind and helpful. He even told us he would get us a "surprise" drink based on what we liked if we couldn't decide. All of the drinks were very eccentric and exciting. Most of them came in very fun cups, including but not limited to a sea shell, a hulk hand, and dress shaped cup, and a coconut on a floatie. All of the drinks were not only beautiful, but very delicious and a lot of fun. The server then later came around with a little baby carriage, and started serving us shots in oyster shells, which was a lot of fun. Those were not included on our bill. For how extravagant all of the drinks were, I'm shocked they were not more expensive, although I guess that might be the American in me speaking, and these drinks were definitely more expensive than most cocktail bars in Europe. If you're ready to brave a bit of an awkward entrance, I'd definitely recommend it. Also, check out the bathroom, I won't say anything else. read more

This is such a magical place in down town Berlin , I would never have found this place if it was not for a friendly local everthing about this place is magical very very hidden but once you are in trust me You are in for a magical experiance the ambiance is so special , the drinks and food is super excellent , there is a magical smoke place where we could smoke and relax inside the building the service is out of the world soo good . I pretty much got hate crimed here and I'm more upset about how it was handled than anything. I've considered and reconsidered this along time but finally my date from that night convinced me to post this review. I ordered a chocolate brownie dessert (I forget the name) and the server Australian and seemed of Asian descent, said "I'd make a joke about your skin color but that's too easy." Like ha I'm brown and ordered chocolate which is brown?? I wasnt going say anything because people rarely listen to WOC. They'd just say I was being aggressive or dramatic, but my date was so upset he spoke with the manager. Instead of seeking to understand or offering an apology the manager just said "I think he was just making a joke." Duh??? But it was a bad and offensive joke towards someone you don't know based on their race. I didn't order the Tokyo swizzle or whatever it's called and make a joke about him being Asian?? Then my date found this server and also spoke with him. The server asked if he wanted him to apologize. ASKED instead of doing it on his own accord. So while he did apologize and it had all the trappings of a genuine apology, it seemed it was only because my date tracked him down and asked him to. The manager had spoken to the server but probably didn't even tell him what he said was wrong nor did he tell him to apologize or anything. While i appreciate their workplace solidarity, this staff seems like they need a lesson in diversity and microaggressions. Now to the food and drinks (and I felt this before the "joke") absolutely mid. The drinks are pretty and in cute cups but was too expensive. And the two I got tasted so bad I couldnt finish them. The food was so tiny I wasn't even fulfilled. I wanted to go to McDonald's afterwards to be honest. The brownie dessert was amazing though. Coolest place we visited in Berlin. Very, very unique drinks, fun presentation, good music, and all around great vibes. Fantastic service too. The waiter (manager?) recommended to my girlfriend a drink he thought she'd like and immediately swapped it free of charge when it was way too sweet. On par with some of the best cocktails bars I've ever been to, and as such, it is a bit pricier than other spots in Berlin, but well worth it in my opinion (and still much cheaper than NYC). read more

Ich war mit drei anderen Leuten für ein Meeting an diesem Ort und der Hype empfahl diesen Ort, da sie versuchen, die Bar-Erfahrung der 1920er Jahre zu machen. . Brunnen.. Erstens war die Kellnerin großartig. . Sie hat ihre Arbeit gut gemacht du? Er bat, dass wir gehen, weil wir eine Weile gesessen hatten?! Was? Ich konnte das nicht glauben, also bat ich den Typen, zurückzukommen und mir zu erzählen, was er zu meinem Freund gesagt hatte, und er sagte: "Ja, gut, du. Ich bin schon eine Weile hier", und ich sagte, hatten Sie ein Zeitlimit für das Trinken in einer Bar, als Sie reserviert hatten? Dieser Typ kam zurück und als ich ihn ansah, sagte er "woah", als wäre er ins Gesicht geschlagen worden, was er nicht war. Daher war ich ziemlich sauer, dass dieser Typ einen perfekten Abend ruiniert und sich wie ein Idiot benommen hat, als ich ihn gefragt habe, warum er den Leuten an unserem Tisch so ins Ohr flüstert. Als ich das Badezimmer verlasse, unterbricht mich ein anderer Manager auf dem Weg zurück zum Tisch und sagt: "Gibt es ein Problem?" Und lass mich das sagen ... Wenn ich nicht mit meinen Freunden zusammen gewesen wäre, hätte ich diesen kleinen Mann zu meiner Lebensaufgabe gemacht, da dies der zweite Typ war, der neben mir und meinen Freunden in dieser Müllhalde war. Kumpel lernte Manieren und tue es nicht Benimm dich wie ein harter Kerl, wie du es nicht bist, und belästige die Kunden nicht, die ihren Abend genießen, während sie deine überteuerten Getränke trinken. I wAs at this place with three other people for a meeting and the hype recommended this place as they are trying to do the 1920's bar experience.. Well.. Firstly the waitress was great..She did her job well..The bar was crowded and we had a table and each had about 3 drinks when some guy whispered in my friends ear and he seemed shocked so I asked him what did he say to you?He asked that we leave because we'd been sitting for awhile?!What?I couldn't believe this so I asked the guy to come back and tell me what he said to my friend and he said "yeah well you've been here awhile" and I said did you have a time limit for drinking at a bar when reservations had been made? This guy came back and when I looked at him he said "woah" like he'd been socked in the face which he hadn't been. So I was pretty pissed that this guy ruined a perfectly good evening and acted like an idiot when I asked him why he was whispering in peoples ears at our table so.When I leave the bathroom yet another manager intercepts me in route back to the table and says "is there a problem?" And let me say this..If I had not been with my friends I would've made this little man my mission in life as this was the second guy othering me and my friends in this dump.Buddy learn some manners and don't act like a tough guy as you are not and don't bother customers enjoying there evening respectively whilst drinking your overpriced drinks. I had a mind to let him know I work in the bar and entertainment industry and he lost thousands of euros in potential private party business by his intrusive and confrontational behaviors but instead I will tell you so you know you will be rushed out of your chair and you would be better if going someplace you can actually relax and enjoy yourself in..All hype.No class.. read more

Drinks were good. Garnish was unique, but a little tacky. Staff was pretentious and rude. The host pretentiously acted as if he could barely squeeze us in-we waited for just 5 minutes and there were plenty of open seats inside. We sat for 10 minutes before we got a menu. Neither the waitress or the bartenders (who were right in front of us) gave us a glance or spoke a single word. Once we finally ordered the manager questioned our choice of drinks saying they were a bit strong. Our waitress rudely mocked my friend for not getting a second drink. Atmosphere is great and the drinks were good, but the experience is soured by the rude staff. read more
