The Norwood store is bigger than all of them but it's the only one I've ever been really disappointed with. So so so so so freaking rude. The clothes in Witchery are always contemporary, clean and stock great prints, shoes, bags, accessories and a whole new range of children's clothes and men's clothes. It is quite an expensive place (many tops are in excess of $80) but the quality is good and the sizes seem to be able to fit most people both petite and larger. The girl in the last review was talking about her petite size. I am quite the opposite and I really struggle to find a place where the L or the 14 fits me properly. So I can feel comfortable there. Let me take you back to my birthday. I had the day off of work and I had a party that night. I thought I'd treat myself to buying a new outfit from my favourite shop. Sales were on (Witchery always seem to have good sales) and the Norwood Witchery was my first stop because of their big range. During the day, there were not many people in there but the shop was quite messy probably due to the craziness of the good sales. I found a few things to try on but had a question to ask the lady at the counter about a particular size. I stood there and waited while she stood there popping display boxes open and talking to her friend about the weekend she just had. She looked me in the eye three times but kept going. When her friend left, she just looked down and kept going. I had to ask her to help me, but she wasn't willing to leave her box popping. She then asked the other lady to help me. She looked disgruntled to do it and refused to call another store for me. I left feeling about an inch tall and went to Witchery Burnside where the people were lovely and I bought a brilliant top. I'm not a complainer - it's not what I do, but I have never been treated so badly like I shouldn't be in a store. Please don't let it distract from how great the other Witchery stores are - I've only ever been helped.

They actually stock my size So every time I come into the Rundle Mall store, all the XS and size 6s are gone. All the 35s in shoes are gone. Basically I'm just looking around at everything I like, wishing I could buy something, anything. But nothing fits. *cries* When you're petite, life is hard. Life is a struggle. Life is full of dilemmas. "Should I buy this now, or wait til it goes on sale? But what if they sell out of my size?" Many a time I have bought something for the full price, the next minute it goes on sale and there's about 5 remaining in my size. Ouch. Other times, I've waited til it goes on sale and they run out of my size. See what I meeeeean! So anyway, Witchery at Norwood is good for me. I don't know whether they stock more of my size, or whether they're just a quieter store so my size doesn't run out as quickly. Either way, I can shop in peace.

Despite being located across the road from their fashion competitors TuYu, Nina Stephanie does a good trade and there is always customers in the store having a browse. They stock labels such as Bluejuice, Paradisco, Angel Biba and Sweetacacia and have a great range of casual and formal wear. The store is spacious and clean and everything is laid out well so it can be easily perused. There are a couple of large change rooms (I hate pokey ones) and the staff are helpful if you need any assistance. They also have a permanent sale rack where items are alternated and they are actually not all junk like most sale racks are; it is a good first port of call to look for a bargain. A sexy girl in a sexy dress is a certainty to be spotted at least once in a visit to Rundle Mall, Adelaide. Come here on any given weekday and you'll believe me. It's only a matter of time before you suddenly turn your head towards that girl's direction...I remember an American businessman friend of mine that told me, "When I visited Australia for the first time, and I saw how beautiful Aussie women were, I knew it was highly likely that I could get into trouble. And I'm married." This isn't an understatement. I've fallen victim to the lure of Aussie women several times before. I especially loved the music that was playing. It's hard not to like a store when they have a playlist of a Sade song, followed by 'World Tour' by 'A Tribe Called Quest'. Frilly at the top, and skimpy and tight around the waist and legs. The prices are higher than usual, and you can get far classier dresses for a lower price. Miss Gladys Sym Choon still deserves a lot of credit for its designs from the Malaysian designer. Although designs can be simple and of one bright colour (my top two colours from this store are bright red or metallic black), there are other items on offer, and you've gotta appreciate that they've allocated a generous section for menswear too. Though not the best on prices, Miss Gladys Sym Choon do dresses very, very well. It was funny, because once I asked the shop assistant for a sexy dress, he was on fire and picked out five different colours without any hesitation! The other girls downstairs saw what was happening and they laughed when I said, "She's tryin', I'm buyin!'" LOL For those of us blokes who randomly suddenly get a testosterone hit while shopping, Miss Gladys Sym Choon will cause your jaws to drop. Thank you so much. The best way to end my day. I left there thinking, "Damn girl, you looked sexy in those tight dresses. Sexy, sexy, sexy." This store, like the Sade song, "gave me a kiss of life."

Melbourne label Gorman have recently set up shop in Adelaide, and it's a perfect down to earth…read morealternative to complement the flashier side of label-loving Rundle Street. Artisan, colourful and more exotic than my own wardrobe, while Gorman isn't my exact cup of tea and I haven't bought a lot in the store - it does have the occasional piece I adore (those leopard pony skin boots from last season!) and is definitely worth a visit. The vibe is homespun eclectica: wood, earthy trinkets with pops of bright colours. Lots of African prints and quality fabrics, sweeping rather than body conscious cuts. It's grown up, intelligent quirk: the Frankie girls eat this stuff up. As well as the main line they offer and organics range and a friggen sweet selection of shoes. It's a lovely, spacious store that invites you in - an atmosphere strengthened by the friendly and helpful (though not intrusive) sales staff. Gorman is also committed to sustainable fashion and production processes, which makes them a winner in my book.

I was pleasantly surprised to find beautiful vintage dresses for forty bucks, Mink Pink shorts for twenty five, and some fantastic statement jewellery that was also well priced. When I picked up a long pair of shorts with blue paw prints all over them, I knew they were hipster pants and I had no business wearing them. But I had to try them on anyway. The lovely proprietor insisted very kindly that no, I was not too old to pull off these crazy bloomer shorts. I didn't end up buying them because I imagined the expression on my boyfriend's face if he saw them and I just don't think his heart could take it. I will definitely return to Azalia, the manager was lovely to talk to and has a passion for affordable vintage fashion, as well as a real love of Queen Street, the 'almost secret but not for much longer' up and coming area of Adelaide.

She didn't direct me to the priciest option, and when I asked about a price tag that was wrong, I was quickly refunded the difference. The small details really matter to someone like me who often gets lost in these stores.

Spotlight is one of those names that you never hear anyone talk about. But there are some fabulous bargains if you go hunting. There's some cool home decor that you can get from a minimum $20-$40. I only learned of the existence of this shop through word-of-mouth. Why spend soooo much money on home decor (thousands of $$dollars!) when you can just pop into this small slice of interior designer's paradise, and collect bits and pieces! Oooh! What I love most about this store is their staff, especially the pure honesty and guidance of their cash register staff and refund counter assistants. They sorted my undesired purchases out really quickly and drama-free, made sure that if there were any missing parts like a globe, for instance, that they would tell me where to go next to get it ("We don't sell that here, but you can go to the supermarket for a globe"), and even refunded one of my purchases that I didn't need anymore for the house. This is exactly one of the big things I look for in a store (fantastic help!). When you've regretted a big purchase for the home, it's nice to deal with someone that gets your refund transaction done really well. I highly recommend these guys! If what you need is not here, their guidance and direction leads you to the right place! I've gone to Rundle Mall an awful lot, and I knew which staff are good with helping you. Ironically, my first visit to Spotlight "led me to the light" when I was in the dark. In fact, the computer desk lamp I'm currently using for my long hours of yelping was found through the word-of-mouth from one of the shop assistants at Spotlight. So definitely worth a visit! I'll come back to see if they have any other good bargains for the home.

This nicely hidden, tiny, crammed and crowded shop packs in quite a lot of different things to add to your home. It's all cute, I especially liked the white desk lamps. My eyes were so busy looking around this store. I really liked how the staff asked me if I needed any help, and if I couldn't find it in here, they directed me to three other stores that I could look in. So helpful. The only reason I didn't rate this higher was because it was so packed, and hard to move and look around, that I just needed to find my item elsewhere.
