All of the stylists are amazing and I trust all of them with my hair. They are all very knowledgeable and don't try to push products or services on you that they don't honestly feel would help you. I also get regular nail services and again, I can't say enough about how amazing the nail technicians are. Overall, I couldn't imagine going anywhere else and feeling as confident as I do with the entire crew here.

Four bridesmaids and the mother of the groom trek to Salon Allure for some high falutin', super stylin' hair flair. Armed with muffins, fruit and champagne, this was to be a few hours to relax before the madness... Salon Allure has a BEAUTIFUL new space. Relaxing, classic, smooth and contemporary. Nestled in an up-and-coming stretch of Union Street...it's poised to pamper. Nice digs. The good... Heather did my hair and the hair of one other bridesmaid. She was talkative, congenial, gave me the perfect "country club" poof hair. A little bit fancy, but mostly I looked myself, but a grown up. She even hid my streak (for the most part), and I'm sure the bride appreciated that ;) She curled the hell out of the other girl's hair...looked beautiful. The bad: The rest of the staff just seemed terribly unenthused. It was disappointing. The girl that did two of the girl's hair was hardly friendly, borderline curmudgeonly. But, whatever...it is what it is, and then...we got the bill. I am sorry, my friends. If you are going to charge $95 for a pretty novice looking updo, you best do it with a damn smile. $95. I was in SHOCK. ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. None of them took over 40 minutes. My blowdry style: $45 3 updos: $95/pop Mother of the Groom: $80 So we are talking, around $500 with tip to basically rearrange some hair. Make an effort. SERIOUSLY. So, basically...this place needs to get over itself....or step up to the plate with better work and better service. (this excludes Heather, she was great). But 50 percent still equals: pretty lacking. 3 stars is generous, as it may have been an off day. But hey, your friend only gets married once, and I don't live here anymore...so one chance is all they get....we could've gotten better styles at JC Penny for almost HALF the price.

My appointments are with Kaleigh and she is a gem of a talented stylist with an amazing personality. My two teenage boys will go to anyone with availability on short notice and have never been disappointed. They both rave about the cuts and head massages so much that Papa now goes to Vogue too. Papa loves the pampering and looks forward to the herbal tea, conversation and massage. My 21 year old daughter came for a visit with badly bleached hair and Kyle fixed it back to a brown with dimension and it looked natural leaving my daughter feeling gorgeous again! All of the stylists at Vogue are blessed with wonderful personalities, talent for their trade and they listen to the client in the chair! Vogue is at a new location now which is just a block away from their old space. Parking is much easier although you need to be certain to have quarters for meters and the building is gorgeous and open. Without reserve I recommend Vogue and its stylists to seasonal visitors such as myself and residents of the area. A good salon is more necessary than a good mechanic shop!

We were lucky enough to find Vogue Salon and specifically Rachel and Katie. They were so sweet and most importantly provided great service. We were looking fabulous when we walked out the door and the best news is, they continue, 10 days later, to be perfect. We sure wish we lived anywhere in the state of Michigan because we would drive to get our haircuts with them. The salon was inviting to, it was chilly out and I was greeted with hot tea and a warm warm smile. Kudos to Rachel, Katie and Vogue.
