No communication everything that need to get done the home inspection, appraisal, repairs, paying for the repairs was done last minute. The SI statement was requested 1 week prior to the close of escrow. Some of the invoices that needed to be paid in escrow did not get paid prior to the close of escrow. It took 7 weeks to close escrow. Then need to ask about when we would receive the funds from the sale. I would not recommend this company.

Firstly, this company requires that if you want to see a property, you must first submit an application. This is standard. What is not standard, however, but does happen from time to time, is that they require you to pay for and pass a credit check. Prior to even seeing a property! You don't even know yet if you like what you're paying for! It's not usually worth $40 (in my case, as I must pay for both mine and my husband's credit check) to look at a property. As I explained to Eva that I have a hard time forking over money sight unseen, and if I did so on every property my move budget would be blown, she told me "well, then you need to pick and choose the properties you view more carefully, then." This is laughable, as the rental market is so competitive that renters on a timeline can not afford to pass on viewing things, as homes get rented as fast or faster than you can find them. I know, I've been looking for 4 weeks. Her attitude was not understanding, she said, "we can't be showing everyone who wants to see a house, because most people don't qualify." Why not? Isn't that what your company DOES? Like, your MAIN JOB is to show properties. You're a realty company for Cripe's sake. It boggles my mind what you do do if you don't just show prospective buyers and renters properties. And if you send someone to show us a property or have an open house and we don't go forward, versus if I, as a working family, pays $40 and we don't go forward, who do you think is out more money? Me, the working family, or you, a company with multiple branches and many employees and probably hundreds of properties that you manage? It's an unfair policy and should be made illegal. And Eva's elitist attitude as I expressed my financial concerns about it was less than helpful and understanding. Would never deal with a company that is so out-of-touch with the people they are supposed to serve.

Questions would come up and I'd either get no response or something super vague days later. After a while, I just stopped asking and hoped nothing went wrong, which isn't exactly comforting when real money is involved. Once Chambers took over, that changed pretty quickly. Now when I have a question, I ask it and I get a real answer. Not days later. Not after following up multiple times. Just a normal, timely response like you would expect. It sounds basic, but it made a huge difference. What really stood out to me was how approachable they are. I've asked about lease stuff, tenant situations, random landlord questions, even things I probably should already know. I never felt rushed, brushed off, or made to feel dumb for asking. There were also times I reached out about things that weren't urgent at all or weren't technically their issue yet. They still helped me think it through and gave honest input. That was unexpected and genuinely appreciated. At this point, I don't feel like I'm guessing anymore. Instead of managing and stabilizing my building, I lost money every month and my stress level was out of control. My priors manager's communication was terrible and to make things worse they were also unapologetic and unprofessional. I think the latter may have actually pissed me off more. After my frustrating experience, I spent a lot of time researching for a better property manager. After interviewing Kendra, I decided to switch to Chambers, and the difference has been unimaginable. Kendra and her team have been nothing short of amazing. They are incredibly professional, responsive, and genuinely make me feel valued as a client. Kendra's communication is excellent, she's quick to respond and always keeps me informed. The level of service she provides has given me peace of mind, something I desperately needed. I also appreciate having Chambers PM, specifically Kendra, to serve as a resource. My other properties are in Oakland and Walnut Creek, which is currently out of their service area, so I self-manage those rentals. And any time I have question about landlording or just need a second set of eyes on a tenant application, Kendra is willing to offer her expert advice, even though those properties aren't being managed by Chambers (yet! when/if they come to the Bay, those properties will be managed by Chambers.) My tenants are also much happier now. Kendra doesn't waste any time finding reliable tenants to fill vacancies whenever I may have one and her attention to detail has made property ownership stress-free. I feel very comfortable reaching out to her whenever any issues arise because I know she'll handle them promptly and effectively. The Chambers' team are a wonderful group who are truly engaged with their clients. Kendra's informative, has great communication skills, and goes above and beyond for her customers. She actually cares about her tenants and always answers the phone or calls back right away. If I could give more stars, I would! I highly recommend Kendra and her team to any homeowner looking for a reliable and trustworthy property manager. They have exceeded all my expectations and made a world of difference in managing my property.
