Our lake view. Love this place.

Bella Terra has my vote for the #1 Class A Resort in Alabama. We are so fortunate to have gone there. Looking forward to hearing from sales. Looking into purchasing a lot soon. We wish to make this our home in the winter. Kudos to Carolyn. She is certainly as asset to you company. Pat & Alex Bobbs

The sites are very nice and seems to be well kept. The times considering the states safer at home orders make it tough to fully evaluate their potential here. Two of the bath houses are closed along with the clubhouse. The pool and spa are open. The pool doesn't seem to be heated However the spa is nice. The cable tv is adequate but the WiFi is minimal at best. I was told by the provider that the equipment is older and has limitations. So with limited things to do the internet becomes more essential. It appears that the resort may be understaffed .. All and all is a bit pricey but will give them another try one day..

The best of the best. Better than most of the motorcoach resorts in South Florida and the left coast.

There was someone playing live music at certain times of the day. The room was clean and had a simple but nice setup. The shower had great water temperature and pressure. We had an ocean view room which was worth the extra cost. Waking up to the beach every morning was so satisfying. Reading on the balcony while listening to the ocean sounds and watching the waves was everything that I needed. The hotel has beach towels that are easily checked out through a machine. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available first come first serve to hotel guests which is very convenient. There was a heated outdoor pool, a volleyball net and a few games inside. We ate all of our meals at the hotel. We ate at the grab and go food spot. I ordered the feta and spinach croissant, a chocolate chip scone and a cappuccino. We also ate dinner at the latitude 30. I ordered a ceasar salad and calamari. For breakfast at latitude 30, I ordered the French toast dish that comes bacon and I ordered a side of eggs. We also ate at the fine dining restaurant onsite where I ordered the seared scallops dish and the vanilla crème brûlée. All of the meals that we ate at the hotel were very tasty. The restaurant staff were all kind and the utensils were spotless. I believe food may have also been served at the bar near the pool, but I didn't try any food from there during my visit. I really had an enjoyable time at this hotel and I plan to return in the future.

Live music every day by the pool was awesome! And talented performers! The beach itself is right behind the resort and has the softest sand. Wanted was rough but we were still able to get in a slash around and jump some waves. The property was recently purchased by new owners after being owned by sand owner who opened it in 1987, which is impressive. Mervin in the restaurant was kind and friendly and been there 12 years. Glinda in the restaurant was the SWEETEST lady there. She maker the omelettes. (Get the omelettes!! Yum!) John and Greg are great pool side bar tenders. The gentleman at the lobby bar was also friendly and attentive, we didn't catch his name. The list of things we wished were different is short. Could have used speakers playing music during the times at the pool when there wasn't live music. Wait times in the restaurant were long. (Food was hit or miss...not horrible but mostly unremarkable... However the spinach dip at the casual restaurant is off the charts and the wagyu steak at Voyagers is incredible!!) We cannot say enough about the marvelous staff. We will definitely be back! We wish them luck in this transition.

Love the amenities here: Two pools, two restaurants, nice coffee shop, Dragonfly (outdoor bar and grill), and good fitness center. 3. The Lodge has 3 sections for the guestrooms. Five floors each. Rooms are nicely appointed, clean, and comfortable. Even numbered rooms face the beach. Can't say enough good things about this hotel. I am thrilled that I bit the bullet and booked our stay here while we were in Gulf Shores…read more A few reviews on TripAdvisor did cause me to question even though it seems like a great place. The main complaints were that it involved too much walking (from the parking lot, to the room, etc). Unless you are significantly disabled and if so, I have no idea how you get around in the world, it's really not much walking at all. If you think this is too much walking, never live in NYC you will not survive. If the issue is walking from the parking lot, do valet and you don't have to walk from the parking lot. If the issue is walking from the main building, you have to walk MAYBE 1/3-1/2 of a football field to the building where the rooms are. It's such a nothingburger it's like a joke. If anyone thinks that is a lot of walking, they probably need to call Dr. Now. Another issue I saw in a review is that it is hard to find. It isn't. Like, at all. There is a sign and you can see it from the road. I hope that person is ok they might need to get their eyes checked. Now that I'm done talking shit, let's talk about the good things. Everyone is very nice and helpful. The views are stunning and from everywhere. From the main check in lodge, from the pool, from the beach front view rooms, from the restaurants. We had a balcony and it was just water/beach/gulf views. It was legit comparable to resorts we stayed in in Cancun and Seminyak, Bali. The water wasn't quite as "blue/turquoise" but not much The Lodge can do about that. The room is very spacious. The bathroom is lovely. The shower was wonderful. The bed was super comfortable and soft. The AC worked very well. There were a bunch of outlets on my side but less on the other side (however there were outlets on both sides). The restaurants had, as I said above, excellent views. They also has wonderful staff and very tasty food. They could have done better with the vegetarian options. The bread was probably the best part and was some of the best bread and whipped butter I have ever had. They do that shit where they text you and ask if you need anything, which is very helpful especially for us millennials. GF asked me to request an extra blanket, which I did. The response time was great, it was super fast. They told me they would send one up but never did, which was a bummer. Another piece of feedback, shortly after 8:30am, we had a knock at the door. GF was in the bathroom and I was getting dressed. They knocked again. I, half dressed, opened the door. It was housekeeping asking if we were checking out. Uh....yeah, we are.. This is a huge pet peeve of mine. What if we wanted to sleep in? What if I was out and GF was on the toilet? What if someone was getting out of the shower? It just feels like an invasion of privacy. It just seems wild that housekeeping felt like bothering us to find out if we were checking out. I would definitely stay here again if I returned but I would put the "do not disturb" sign up

Delicious in every way the word delicious can be used! Scrumptious view, luxurious service,…read morefabulous food! Grits are easy to cook~ so it continues to defy this Southerner's logic how ordering grits in restaurants continues to be a dicey proposition. Thankfully, as with many other things, The Grand gets it exactly right. The grits are of perfect consistency, served hot (though buried under lots of other goodness) and flavorful (not bad, considering their main role is a supporting one at best!) This dish comes with chorizo sausage, Parmesan, scallions, tomatoes, crisp bacon ~ goodness gracious! Each bite has its own taste profile ~ variety in one dish! So delicious! Highly recommend! The waitstaff greet you with fresh coffee and juice. Hubs ordered the Philly Steak and eggs and all conversation ceased as his utterances were reduced to "Mmmmmm" and "oooohhhhh" and "So good!" Why on earth is this not a five star rating? Someone turned off the burner for the coffee, so refills were lukewarm or downright cool. Hubs requested a fresh cup, so amazing server brought a new cup ~ but alas, still tepid coffee. Eventually, hubs asked for HOT coffee. The waiter then figured out the cause and rectified the situation ~ so I guess you could add a star back? I reserve the 5 stars for perfection, and despite being close, this wasn't quite there. But guess what?! We're going back this morning! Worth the visit ~ worth the cost!

We stayed in the Marina building and they have balcony rooms with beautiful views from every room. They even provided fishing poles and bait on the pier! The casual dining here is ok, our pizza was cold in the middle and the waitress was slow. Overall I would not eat there. The next morning though, the bartender made delicious Bloody Mary's for us and was very friendly. However, the front hotel staff manager Tanisha was amazing! Very attentive and knew we were from out of town and wanted us to have a perfect stay. Even the valets were very nice and courteous. We would definitely come back as an anniversary stay or a romantic getaway. Love the southern hospitality.

(I had called earlier commenting about no coffee in the room and was told there was a coffee bar in the lobby... never any mention of a charge) Mortified, walletless, not knowing what to do, I dumped my coffee in the waste basket and went back to our room. We are staying here for a week so I called to ask how much the coffee was and was told $3.75 a cup. Now our idea of entertainment since my husband can't move around very well is sitting on the deck by the ocean and drinking coffee.... So it's kind of a big deal to us, as it probably is with other seniors and mobility challenged individuals, so thought I'd share. Aside from that the room is nice and the view great, which probably keeps people coming. Also, the pizza we had at the Hotel bar was not very good. So overall nice stay if you pack your Keurig and dine somewhere else.
