What an amazingly relaxing stay! It was just what the doctor ordered. I had been so stressed at work and this was the perfect escape. My husband and I pulled into the driveway and parked in the charming backyard. Walking up, the front porch is just adorable! If it had been warmer, I would have loved to sit out and enjoy the porch. We were greeted immediately by the owner and she gave us a tour and showed us to our room. We stayed in the Ann Eliza suite, the only room with a balcony. It was beautiful when you first walk in. Fluffy comfortable bed and those sheets!! Like heaven to sleep in. Breakfast each day was delicious. As I mentioned, I can be a piggy, so it took all of my willpower to not ask for seconds and thirds! Some of the courses LOOKED so simple and unsuspecting, but once you taste it, you can really appreciate and notice the unique flavors. Enjoy your stay if you decide to go! read more

My husband and I have been staying at Bella Rose which has been our go-to staycation location for the past 10 years. We stayed most recently this past weekend and Jill & Rob made our stay perfect. We went for my birthday and upon arrival there was a sweet hand written card and a box of chocolate truffles. Jill also very kindly made our reservations for one of our nights dinners and also gave us so many suggestions for activities to do while in town. Of course the 3 course breakfast is top notch and absolutely delicious. One of our other favorites about the b&b is the private patio connected to the Ann Eliza suite which we stayed in. We had such a fantastic stay at Bella Rose B&B! Jill and Rob are fantastic and gracious hosts. So friendly, welcoming, and helpful! Jill even made a reservation for us for dinner at the local yacht club. She also provided 3 pages of restaurant recommendations! The house is immaculate and decorated beautifully. We stayed in Evie's Chamber and it was absolutely perfect. We especially enjoyed the crisp sheets, fluffy towels, and imported soaps! Jill's 3 course breakfast is spectacular (baked goods course, fruit/yogurt course, entree course all served with tea or coffee and a variety of juices). Rob is a wonderful server and they even pulled out all the stops with cloth napkins and beautiful silverware! This was truly the best B&B I've ever stayed in: clean, great food, wonderful hosts, and beautifully decorated. Rating a Bed Breakfast is difficult for me as my stay at the Bella Rose was my first experience at a B&B. However the Bella Rose is AMAZING. It is about a mile walk from the main area in Canandaigua so you can walk to town conveniently. The breakfast at the Bella Rose is nothing short of spectacular. Renee and Chris (the owners) put together meals that any 5 star restaurant would be lucky to have on their menu. You never know what you will be served next and each item they bring out is just as amazing as the previous. And they make sure to take care of you by getting your dietary restrictions and hot beverage preference before hand. The house itself is absolutely beautiful. It is a larger, Victorian style home that makes any romantic getaway that much better. Personally I stayed in the Ann Eliza Suite and the room was absolutely amazing. The private porch area gave a very relaxing feel to an already relaxing vacation. The room was warm and comforting and had no issues at all. In fact beforehand I asked the owners if they could bring in a bottle of champagne before my date and I got to the room and they happily obliged. The folks at the Bella Rose are nothing but accommodating. I booked the trip a few months in advance and as never having been in the Finger Lakes before I had a million questions. I would email the owners regularly about things to do and see in the area and they always responded with more information than I could have asked for. When we got there the first day Renee spent about 15 minutes with us showing us spots on the map that were fun adventures and even helped us pick out a few wineries to go to. Without her recommendations the trip may not have been nearly as good as it was. read more

the bella rose is absolutely AMAZING. this was the second b&b my wife and i visited and they have set the bar very high for any future b&b. we were greetly by Renee and Chris as they opened the door for us and from that point on they treated us like family. The are about a 15 minute walk from downtown Canandaigua where you can visit a number of restaurants, antique shops, and the local culinary center. They're also a quick 30-40 minute drive from dozens of local vineyards. The thing that sets bella rose above the rest is the breakfast that they compose, EVERYDAY. everything is made from scratch and piping hot. the menu changes on a daily basis. during our stay, we ran into a couple that had been coming to bella rose for the last 6 years, and they even attest that they have only had 1 dish on more than one occasion, and without any complaints. the servings were very generous to the point that we skipped lunch almost everyday. they also offer, coffee, tea, and your choice of juice (cranberry, apple, orange, and cider). we will be coming back here the next chance we have and definitely will be recommending this location to any friends that are in the area. read more

Rob and Jill were excellent hosts, they are so warm and welcoming. We were celebrating our 10yr Anniversary and Jill Left us a sweet card and some local chocolates as a welcome. Our breakfasts each morning were fantastic and delicious. Rob & Jill were able to recommend lots of places to eat around the area that had excellent food. My husband and I were seeking a weekend away in the Finger Lakes region. We hadn't been away in quite a while and wanted something really special. Boy, did we get it! Directions to Bella Rose were easy to follow (we were coming from the Albany area). Even though it isn't quite spring yet, the exterior of the property was well maintained and charming. Chris and Renee greeted us at the door and were the most welcoming hosts. Immediately to the right of the front entrance is a newspaper article telling a bit about Bella Rose and it's near 10 year renovation journey to becoming a Bed and Breakfast. You can tell much thought was given to every detail of the building, right down to the etched designs in the door hinges. There is gentle classical music playing throughout the sitting rooms, books and magazines to read, a fireplace to enjoy and a mini-fridge stocked with water and various soft drinks. There is also a DVD collection that would appeal to a wide audience. Had our stay been longer, I'd have taken advantage of the sitting rooms more. Chris and Renee made sure we were comfortable and would be comfortable throughout our stay, making sure we had cookies to take to our room each night and leaving a keurig out for me so I could enjoy my nightly cup of tea. :) They also helped ensure we knew our way around town and other areas we would be visiting during the day by printing out directions for us and checking on the open/close status of various locations. They also offered to make any reservations we might need and since our weekend plans were fairly open, they gave us many good suggestions. Bella Rose has 3 rooms. We were the only ones staying this weekend so we got a good tour of the building. All rooms are very charming. We stayed in the Anne Eliza suite, their largest room with a deck, fireplace, jacuzzi tub, and separate shower. There is also a heated towel bar, gorgeous robes and slippers to truly feel pampered. I fell in love with this room and, also, with the charming key that had an engraved fob with it. Just perfect. I can't remember the last time I slept so well. I also appreciated the tiny, sufficient night light by the door. Our first morning, we were treated to the most wonderful breakfast. I had no worries about being served anything I am allergic to, as they made sure of those preferences before we even made the trip. Breakfast at Bella Rose is phenomenal! Each breakfast is 3 courses and a different menu each day. That morning, we had homemade cherry almond muffins, a poached pear with vanilla yogurt and, for our third course, eggs benedict (I had yummy dreams about these later that night). We were also served water, juice and coffee and they made sure to keep the coffee coming! :) We enjoyed some time on the deck outside our room, which overlooks Main St. You can see a few historic buildings from the deck and really appreciate how clean the town is. Our next heavenly breakfast consisted of homemade blueberry scones, pineapple with raspberry sauce (the pineapple was still on the skin and cut into cubes. Very interesting and pleasant way to eat this fruit!), and carrotcake pancakes with maple cream sauce and sausage links. Just Divine! Before we left, I made sure to fill out an entry in the journal that is left on one of the nightstands. In this journal, you will find entries from previous guests and you will not find one complaint amongst them. You won't be disappointed staying at Bella Rose...and you will look forward to returning someday :) read more

What a wonderful experience!! Every part of our stay was awesome....a solid 10 out of 10! Booking was very easy and included great communication to include a list of nearby restaurants and offers of help in any way possible. Jill and Rob are the absolutely delightful owners and they were beyond helpful, accomodating and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and given a brief tour which even included some complimentary snacks and chilled bottled water which were at our disposal at all times. We chose the Ann Eliza's Suite which was decorated and maintained to perfection. With a beautiful fireplace, jacuzzi tub, towel warming rack, private balcony and gorgeous custom appointments....this perfectly cleaned room felt as if we were the first to ever stay there. They even provided the nicest of robes and slippers which were sanitized and perfectly hung just awaiting our arrival. Being a birthday celebration....they even had a personalized card and some very tasty chocolate truffles as an unexpected suprise. We stayed two nights and the breakfasts were both absolutely on-time and a perfect amount of food done with a gracious smile. The food was truly a culinary delight from wonderful crepes to warm scones, fresh fruit, a homemade yogurt parfait with granola, wonderful muffins and genuine attention to our every whim. This was our first stay at Bella Rose and I can say that we have already talked about returning. Whether you have stayed in B&B's dozens of times, or whether this would be your first experience.....I feel extremely confident in heavily suggesting that you try a stay at this one....they knocked it out of the park and it is clear that they love what they do! This past fall my boyfriend and I were planning a getaway in the Finger Lakes region, and wanted to up the ante with a more romantic setting. We lucked out in finding Bella Rose! Reviews across the board were promising, and although a little further out in the Finger Lakes than we were intending, nothing could beat Bella Rose's reputation. Jill and Robb helped create the perfect weekend. Affordable yet beautiful rooms, personalized recommendations for hiking/wineries/restaurants, and delicious homemade breakfasts (3 courses!)--we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We arrived at the Bella Rose on the afternoon of Friday, September 4, 2015. We were warmly greeted by the owners, Renee and Chris, who explained all the amenities and intricacies of the house. They could not have been any nicer or more personable; they are fantastic people. The house itself is a gorgeous, vintage Victorian updated with the conveniences of modern living. The house and rooms are impeccably clean and excellently maintained. My wife and I stayed in the suite for 3 nights. While all of the rooms are beautiful, the suite does offer the most room. It includes a balcony which overlooks the front of the house, a sitting room with fireplace, and a bubble tub (like a jacuzzi). The bed was very comfortable and just the right firmness for our liking. The three-course breakfasts prepared by Renee were all outstanding and certainly filling! Gourmet quality cuisine! Renee focuses on using fresh, locally grown ingredients in her cooking, and it definitely shows in both taste and appearance. The breakfast are top notch! We loved all aspects of this bed and breakfast and would certainly recommend it to anyone visiting Canadaigua or the Finger Lakes area. read more

Bella Rose is an excellent example of exactly what it claims to be. It is a beautifully maintained Victorian Manse. I only met Jill during our stay, and she is gracious, animated and lovely.
